After Cheryl signs her signature on the emancipation papers she hands the pen to me and I do the same.
"And with that, it's official. Congratulations." Attorney McCoy says.
"With Nana Blossom as our legal guardian, and us as her youthful wards, Mummy and Uncle Claudius' stronghold on our lives and happiness has at last ended." Cheryl says happily. I smile at her and give her a side hug.
"I will file the papers and send this letter of separation to your mother."
Cheryl snatches the letter from Attorney McCoy, "Oh, no need. She and my odious uncle are still on the estate, living in one of the barns. I'll be happy to deliver the message in person." Cheryl gives Attorney McCoy a smile.
Cheryl and I walk across the field to the barn where Aunt Penelope and Uncle Claudius are staying. We peek into the open door and see Hiram Lodge walk up to the table where Aunt Penelope and Uncle Claudius stand.
Cheryl lets out and audible gasp and I cover her mouth quickly. We step out of sight. I hear someone walking towards the door so I pull Cheryl towards one of the empty barrels standing outside the barn and we climb in.
After a few moments we here the barn door shut and I let out a soft sigh of relief.

I open up the door to the classroom where the Swords and Serpents club meets.
"I hope I'm not interrupting anything." I say as I walk into the room. "Hey, Jug, sorry I didn't come see you in the hospital." I hug him. "How are you? And where is everyone?" I look around and see that it's just Toni and Sweet Pea there.
"Gone." Jughead says.
"What is that?" I ask, pointing at the paper in Toni's hand. She hands it to me and I read over it quickly. "Wait, they seriously want you guys to go to school in Seaside?" They nod. "That's two hours away."
"Yeah." Sweet Pea says solemnly.
"Are you gonna do something?" I ask Jughead.
"I can't keep fighting for for a gang that doesn't exist." He says.
