I notice Cheryl leaning against the wall outside of the living room as come down the stairs.

"What are you-" She covers my mouth and pulls me close to her.

I hear Hermione Lodge's voice coming through the radio.

"The Lodges. How often have I dreamt of getting my revenge on them." Uncle Claudius says.

"Now now, Claudius. First things first, Nana then Cheryl and that Beverly." Aunt P's voice drips venom.

"Of course, Penelope. Our house must be put in order." Uncle Claudius says.

I look to Cheryl who has the same look of horror in her eyes as I do.

I slump down in my seat next to Betty at the lunch table. Ever since I overheard Aunt P and Uncle Claudius' conversation I've hardly slept. And on top of it Reggie is still mad at me.

"I just loved your spin piece in the paper, Olivia Pope." Jughead tosses the paper down onto the table.

"Can we not, Jughead?" Veronica asks irritated.

"Did you know about Southside High closing? Or the prison?" Jughead asks her.

"Of course not!" Betty jumps in. "That was all her parents doing. Right, V?"

"She didn't know, Jughead, okay? So back off." Archie snaps.

"Give her a break, Jug." I say.

"Fine. I have to conserve my energy anyhow. I'm going on a hunger strike to protest the closing of Southside High and get it reopened." Jughead says and Archie snickers. "What?"

"Sorry, man." He says and starts laughing. "It's just- You're like always eating. I mean good luck with that but-"

"Hey, it's Jughead's prerogative to protest peacefully, so we're gonna support that, aren't we?" Betty says

"Veronica?" Ethel walks up to the table with a milkshake in her hand.

"Oh, hey, Ethel." Veronica greets her with a smile.

"For your crimes against Riverdale, for everything that you and your family have done and continue to do, we find you guilty. This is your sentence." She throws the milkshake in Veronica's face and promptly runs off.

.................

Betty and I take Veronica to the bathroom to clean her up.

"The chilling thing is that Ethel went through the trouble of bringing that milkshake here from Pops. I mean, how mad is she?" Betty asks as I help Veronica rinse the shake out of hair.

"My Dad is responsible for the Muggs family losing basically everything. And he still hasn't made amends, so Ethel has a right to be upset." Veronica sighs.
