Happy reading!!!

"Pleaseeeeeee." Your best friend Tom begged.

"No."

"Pretty pleaseeeee." Tom begged.

You sigh but closed the book you were reading.

"Why?"

"Because."

Tom was trying to convince you to go to a party with him but you really didn't want to go.

"What is this for anyway." You ask.

"Celebrate the success of homecoming."

"Can't we just stay home and eat food and watch movies?" You suggest.

"Nope, we did that yesterday." Tom shuts down you compromise.

"Can we do anything but go to the party?"

"Nope, if it helps, Harrison is gonna be there," Tom smirks.

"Fine." You blushed.

"Ha, knew that would suck you in." Tom teases you

Harrison Osterfield, aka your crush of 2 years. He was Tom's other best friend but you were sure he didn't know you existed.

You blushed.

"When do we leave?" You ask.

"1 hour."

That gave you plenty of time to get ready. You got your hair done, makeup, and got your dress options. There was a short blue sparkly dress, a black dress, a red dress and a green dress.

"Which option?" You ask Tom.

Tom looked up from his phone.

"Blue," Tom responds.

You nodded and go back to the bathroom to change. As you walk out, Tom whistled and you spun around. Little did you know that he took a video to send to Harrison who was debating whether or not to go.

"You ready to go?" Tom asks.

You nodded and took your book.

"No, the book stays here," Tom says sternly.

You start to protest.

"No buts, give me the book and I'll give it back to you when you deserve it."

You grunt back a response but hand him the book.

"Good now let's go," Tom says and picks up his keys and a jacket.

You sat in the front seat of his car. Bored out of your mind, you stare out your window while Tom's music played softly in the background.

"Can I ask you something." Tom questions.

"You just did." You tease.

Tom rolled his eyes.

"You know what I mean. " He responds.

"Go ahead." You answer.

"Why do you hate going to parties with me?" Tom asks.

You blush.

"Because you always end up ditching me." You answer.

The two of you remained silent. Sighing, you wished you had your book with you.
