Title: The God Eater
Genre: fantasy
Mature: not by my standards
Cover and Title: 3/5
The title was excellent! It grabbed attention exactly as the title should. My only critique on that was that it took a bit to long to figure out what (no spoilers) exactly it was referring to.
However, I did need to subtract some points for the cover. People do judge books by their covers, and it didn't so nearly enough justice for the story within. If you're interested, I know an absolutely fantastic cover artist that can make the outsides of your story reflect the wonders inside.Blurb: 4/5
My only complaint is that is wasn't as compelling as it could have been. And maybe don't start two sentences in a row with 'he would' unless the repetition is intentional.First Impressions: 4.5/5
I adored your prologue! The banter between the Parents was probably my favorite part of the story. The two had such apparent personalities and they showed beautifully through their dialogue. I wish you had said the name of Sean's mother sooner, though. It got a bit frustrating only knowing her as 'She'. But perhaps that too was intentional. In which case, readers should definitely want to read on to find out exactly who She is. Also, try to avoid huge walls of text a bit.Characters: 5/5
Fantastic! I can't stress enough how much I loved them. And the names! Each was excellent. Sean's name was my favorite for the sheer fact that his seemed to be the only "normal" name, which very cleverly reflected his character. He behaves more human than his brother and other characters, and thus he receives a more human name.Grammar: 5/5
Nothing stuck out as incorrect.Plot: 5/5
I'm a sucker for mythology. I'm an even bigger sucker for made up mythologies and beautifully planned out fictional worlds. I don't think I can say much more without going on a rant and spoiling something.Overall: 4.417/5 or 26.5/30
