STEALING FIRE

Beth sat on Helios from behind a tree, watching as Octavia talked to her brother. He had told O to come alone, but there was no way Beth was gonna let Octavia come alone. Not if it was a trap. Not if Lincoln and Kai's lives were at stake. She was still upset over Lexa's death. She had thought the only way the Commander would have ever died would be from a battle, not a stray bullet from the flamekeeper.

"Glad you came. I'm alone, O. I'm here to help." Bellamy says to his sister as Beth watched and listened.

Octavia goes to hug her brother but plunge a syringe into him instead. "Sleep well, big brother," Octavia says to him as she catches his unconscious body.

Beth and Helios come out from the tree. "Put him up here. I'll make sure he doesn't fall." Beth tells Octavia. Octavia nods, dragging her brother over to Beth's horse and helping Beth get him on. "Now, let's go before someone else shows up," Beth says once Octavia gets onto her horse.

They ride off to the only place Beth knew no one else knew about.

-----

Beth sat on a fur blanket Lincoln had in his cave. She missed this place and the waterfall. It was the only place the two could truly be alone. Octavia and Bellamy, as well as Indra, were in there. Bellamy had just awoken as Beth was sharpening her sword, glaring at the man.

"It was a mistake to bring him here," Indra says to the two girls. Beth shakes her head, disagreeing with the woman.

"He was out the whole way. And we searched him for bugs." Beth says. "Plus, it's not like he'd know how to get here anyway. He doesn't track that well." She adds.

"You think I'd let them hurt you both?" Bellamy asks Beth and Octavia. Beth doesn't reply, looking down at her sword.

Indra begins to speak. "Shut your mouth-" Octavia cuts off Indra.

"Indra, we talked about this," Octavia tells the woman.

"You waste time. You should be in their camp by now." Indra says to the two girls. Beth nods, agreeing.

"No, it's suicidal," Bellamy says to them. "Pike will be expecting you." He tells the two girls. "You won't get close. I can. We can save them, but we have to work together."

Beth looks up at the boy. "You're the reason they need saving." Beth snaps, sending the boy a glare.

"Maybe, but that doesn't change the fact that you and Octavia need me," Bellamy tells the two girls. Beth scoffs, shaking her head and standing up, putting her sword back in its holder.

"For the first time in my life, that's not true," Octavia tells her brother before leaving.

Beth follows her out, stopping at Indra. "We'll be back soon." She sends one last look to Bellamy before leaving.

"O... Beth!" Bellamy calls out. Octavia and Beth leave with the horses. "O!" Bellamy yells.

-----

Beth and Octavia rush into the prisoner's room, knocking out the guards, with drugs. "They were always shitty guards," Beth mutters. She sees Lincoln quickly walking over to her. "Lincoln." She mutters before hugging him quickly. "We need to hide you. Now." She says.

Octavia nods before opening a panel on the floor. Beth smirks. "I guess 16 years of being the girl under the floor really comes in handy sometimes." She whispers to Octavia, who in return, rolls her eyes at the red-head.

----

"All clear," Octavia says as she peaks her head out from under the floor. Beth smiles lightly.
