Asuna's POV:
Asuna was struggling to keep it together. She felt like she was going to tear apart. Ever had she felt such pain in her life. It was all she could do to keep from shattering all of reality in her pain as her friends laid her down on the bed.
"Alright dear." The doctor said. "You need to take deep breaths, ok? Just breathe slowly and prepare to push." The doctor turned to Liz. "Bring me hot towels." Lis nodded and ran out of the room. Meanwhile, Asuna gasped as another wave of pain flooded over her.
"She's having another contraction." The doctor said. "Quickly, get ready. It's almost time."
The doctor moved down and positioned Asuna's legs, holding them in place. "Alright Asuna. Here it comes... And PUSH!!!"
Asuna screamed as she began pushing.
"Good job Asuna. I See its head. Get ready for the next one... And, PUSH!!!"
Asuna screamed as suddenly the baby shifted.
"Don't worry Asuna. Almost done... And PUSH!!!"

Kirito's POV:
Kirito had been pacing outside the bedroom for the better part of an hour. He had heard the screams from inside, and only the fear of what Liz and the others might do to him was making him hesitate. Then the door opened, and the doctor smiled before gesturing for him to enter.
Kirito slowly stepped through the door, subconsciously holding his breath as he approached the bed. Asuna was lying on her back with her eyes closed. She looked exhausted. Kirito brush the loose hair out of her face. "I'm glad you're ok." he said, kissing her forehead gently.
Asuna's POV:
Asuna felt someone kiss her forehead and opened her eyes to see Kirito staring lovingly at her.
"Hello my love." He said. "How are you feeling?"
Asuna smiled up at him. "I'm sore and tired and sweaty." Kirito smiled at her. Then the doctor came back in and got their attention with her question.
"Would you two like to see your new baby?" She asked.
Kirito looked at Asuna who nodded, then he nodded as well. The doctor opened the door and Liz came through holding a bundle in her arms. She came over and placed it in Asuna's outstretched ones, then left with a little smile on her face. Asuna was immediately taken in by the small life in her arms. She cowed and cuddled it, marveling in how small and soft it was.
"We'll need a name." Kirito said. He turned to the doctor. "Is it a boy or a girl?"
The doctor smiled. "It's a girl."
Kirito turned to look at Asuna. "Got a name in mind?" He asked. Asuna nodded, then pulled the little bundle of joy closer to her. "Akari." She said.
Kirito nodded and came over, hugging them both. "Akari. It's a perfect name for our little rain of sunshine."
Ok. This chapter is short. But I thought that it would be best to pause here. Don't worry though, I'm already writing the next chapter. Until next time... BYE!!!
