Chapter 5- The Meeting

{party} H2O: what are you two doing? We're going to start soon.
{party} Mr7: wait a minute.

Xi Qi pulled up the screen in front of him and clicked the button to leave the guild. And he was immediately sent a request to join guild Makers by Lena28. He clicked to accept. KingAce suddenly received the notification of Mr7's leaving as he was the guild leader. He was stunned. What just happened?

{party} KingAce: why did you leave the guild?
{party} H2O: who left? Mr7? Why? You just joined not long ago....
{party} Mr7: don't worry, I'm just joining another guild because the guild is more beneficial to one of my classes and all of my colleagues are in this guild.
{party} KingAce: guild Makers?
He saw the guild name under Mr7's in his friend list.
{party} Lena28: yup. It's a guild of our company. No one can join unless they're one of the employees. And it's not like Mr7 can't join your party unless he's in your guild right? Our guild is registered as a merchant guild too.
{party} KingAce: of course not! I'll still party with him even if he's not in any guild either.
{party} H2O: .....
{party} Mr7: then everything's fine right? Let's go in already. I've only got another three hours before I need to log off.
{party} KingAce: so early?
{party} Mr7: do you think I'm still young like you two? I'm past 30 already. I need sleep to recharge myself. I've got a meeting early in the morning too.
{party} H2O: eh? You're more than 30?
{party} Mr7: why? Is there a problem with that? 

H2O felt the glaring from KingAce. He quickly shook his head.

{party} KingAce: let's go then..

The four walked through the entrance and their avatars disappeared with a blue light as they were transported into a random location within the mountain.

"Excuse me. You dropped your document, sir."

"Oh thanks... Hmnn, you're...? Xi Qi? You're Xie Xi Qi?"

"Who?"

"I'm Mo Ding Chen. Don't you remember? Back in XingHua High School, you used to call me Senior Ronald."

Xie Xi Qi was astonished, he was clearly delighted at this sudden encounter with this man. His face beaming with a bright smile.

"Senior Ronald? It's been a while. You're working in M&J? I've never seen you around here though."
"Ah, I just got transferred to the main branch three months ago. Currently I'm working as the Director in Management Department.."

"You're that Director Mo? Wow..."

"Ah, right. Are you still living together with that twin of yours? That Xi Yu, is he still as troublesome like before? The two of you still play VRMMO games? Ah, you're in M&J, of course you're still playing... I remember both of you were the beta players for M&J's first VRMMO RPG game, Mirrorland. But you twins didn't even come for the 3rd year finals competition, didn't you? And you didn't contact the company either."

Xie Xi Qi smiled faintly, he looked at Ronald and said.

"Xi Yu... He passed away 12 years ago. The day of the finals was the day the police found his body under the cliff where he fell off 300 metres high. He was supposed to be back before the finals. Then I was called by the police and I totally forgotten about the finals."

"My condolences, I didn't know Xi Yu had... You were the most magnificent pair back then. Seems like I can no longer see Xi Yu's warlord character, Spade of Seventh Heaven, in action anymore. Xi Qi, do you perhaps no longer using your ranger character, Seven Sin, as well?"

"No. I don't." 

"Ah. Which department are you working in? Let's go for a meal when you're free."

"Okay. I'm in Creative Department, team 1."

Team 1? That's the character designing team, wasn't it? Ronald thought. Xie Xi Qi of Creative Department, that NPC called Falma, could it be him? Such coincidence, is it possible? 

"Then, I'll see you again soon."

Xie Xi Qi nodded slightly, and smiled as he left. Ronald entered his office and sat down on the couch. 

Wen Xun haven't been calling over lately. Was he busy over the graduation exam? Ronald took out his phone and dialed the number, but there was only the answering machine. Whatever. I'll just let him know later.

Ronald sat there, reminiscing about the time he first met the twins. In the arcade. It was during his graduation year in high school.

It was that year, the M&J company first launched VRMMO RPG game called Mirrorland. To publicly advertise the game, they held a beta server's first competition in C Country. Ronald Mo had just finished the last of his exams and he went to the arcade with his classmates for celebration. There was a huge crowd when he walked into the arcade. Seemed like there was an arena PK fighting today. He walked through the crowd with certain difficulty until he saw the huge screen above. Two vs two PK fight. It was then when he saw the two freshmen wearing the gaming helmets and sitting opposite another two PK players. 

"Haha, another two challengers for the famous Quill & Ink duo. Do you think they'll win?"

Ronald heard his friend said this. He shook his head and his eyes were captured by the game screen. The two warlords were fighting, their skills seemed almost on par with each other, while the ranger was fighting against a magician. Everyone would have thought the ranger would lose first since the magician had more powerful skills than the ranger, until they saw the ranger threw his bow upwards. The magician was distracted by his action. The moment he did, he had lost. The ranger had rushed in, closing in the distance between them. And a sword appeared in his hand. It only took a few seconds for the ranger to kill off the magician and he went for the opponent warlord as well. And a KO sign appeared on the screen. The newcomers won against the famous duo. The crowd was cheering and Ronald couldn't help clapping his hands either. The players removed their helmets and shook their hands with each other. The two freshmen had the same face except that one of them wore a thick glasses and had a rather timid expression. The other was more of the cheerful kind. He hung his arm around the boy's neck as they left the arcade together. 

"Spade of Seventh Heaven & Seven Sin. Seems like they're going to be the next famous duo around this area."

Ronald nodded at this remark. The second time he met them again, was at the school library.
