Chapter 20 - Blind Mode

"Senior Xi Qi, since your old accounts are now known to everyone in the group, will you be making a comeback then?"

The slender fingers that had been typing on the keyboard stopped. Xie Xi Qi looked up at Mi Li Zhou.

"What do you think I should do? There's already Mr.7 in the group. How am I supposed to operate the two characters at once?"

"I don't know, maybe you might want to shift in between the two characters. Playing each character on different days?"

"Perhaps I'll do just that, for now."

He sighed.

A purple cloaked figure disappeared into the woods. Four black figures strolled in after him, only to be eliminated soon afterward.

{nearby}Morris: That's the third group this evening. They seemed to be targeting not just H2O, Ace and I, but Mr.7 as well. Could they be associates of Janis?

{nearby}H2O: Probably. Janis was never the type to take a loss easily.

A group of flower mobs entering their attack range. Mr.7 and Morris went forward and intercepted them. H2O gulped down a potion given by XiaoYi while taking a short minute to rest.

{nearby}XiaoYi: I say, Jin Shui, how come you're not working today? Aren't you supposed to be busy with the game expansion in place?

{nearby}H2O: I am. I'm using the lab equipment to log into the game.

{nearby}XiaoYi: ...... Then what about Spade of Seventh Heaven? I mean, Xie Xi Qi? And Ace?

{nearby}H2O: Err.... Ace is still stuck in the meeting with his Uncle President, however, Xie Xi Qi should be on holiday today but I don't think I can just call him to get him onto the game just because we wanted to.

A glass shattering sound brought their attention back to Mr.7 and Morris who had just concluded their mob fight. They walked back to the group and rejoined the discussion. H2O then clapped his hands out loud.

{nearby}H2O: Right! We didn't meet up with Mr.7 and Lena28 that day! We were so occupied with that pair of lovebirds that we've forgotten about it.

{nearby}Mr.7: ..... Oh, I was busy.

{nearby}Morris: Right, you are. So was I. Oh dear, its time for me to get off. I need to fetch my fiancee from her office. See ya.

{nearby}XiaoYi: Me too. I still have a class at noon. I need to rush over to my college now. I'll be back as soon as it ended.

{nearby}H2O: Then I'd better be going too. Otherwise, the Zhou girl is going to chew me out.

[Player Morris had logged off]
[Player XiaoYi had logged off]
[Player H2O had logged off]

Knowing it was risky to solo hunt by himself in the wide open area, Mr.7 activated his invisibility skill. His purple garb fluttering when Mr.7 moved around with his sword scabbard clattering against his soft armor. Any slight movement in the vicinity would alarm him almost instantly.

He traveled through the bleak forest, crossing past the muddy waters to get into the city of berserkers where high leveled players would go for to improve their in-game skills. Mr.7 entered the arena and applied for the blind mode.

A player entered, after another and another. Two hours passed soon enough, but Mr.7 had yet to come out from the arena room he entered.

Jing Wen Xun thought there would be at least a few of them online. Bored, he opened the world chat he'd muted awhile ago.
