Chapter 18 - Challenge

{party}KingAce : Xi Qi got mad at me because of the breakfast. What should I do?

{party}Morris : It's your fault in the first place. Who asked you to put too much sugar in his coffee? Are you trying to give him diabetes or something?

A three headed Cerberus was being cut down by the pair. It growled, emanating the aura of death as it summoned a few mob servants.

Blue orbs of light encircled the Cerberus, restraining it from making its attack. King Ace struck his spear forward in a combo string of attacks, draining down the health point of the Cerberus's servants almost instantly.

{party} KingAce : Morris!

{party} Morris : Right away!

He used his invisibility to secured his route, closing in on the Cerberus. With a flash of light, two short daggers appeared in his hands and he swiftly passed by the Cerberus. With another bright light and a ding sound in the system, they finally defeated the Cerberus.

The time struck 22:00. KingAce and Morris went on the way to the nearest village.

{party} Morris : Say, did you notice the level changes of Mr.7 and Lena28? They seem to be leveling up pretty quickly. Do you think they found some secret grounds?

{party} KingAce : Don't know. They might be just grinding mobs at some dungeon. Watch out!!

A blast of smoke appeared in front of them, blocking their sight of the upcoming enemy.

{party} Morris : Who's there?

KingAce swished his spear around, dealing with the blinding smoke. Blurry figures appeared in their vision before them. The smoke cleared and they finally managed to see the five players standing in the front.

{nearby} Morris : Janis! Despicable!

{nearby} Janis : Ahahahaaha!! Hunter. I'm challenging you to the arena battle. 5 vs 5. Dare to accept it, or be the loser and retire from the next competition.

{nearby} Morris : Why should we?!

{nearby} KingAce : OK. Time and place?

{nearby} Morris : Ace!!

{nearby} Janis : A week from now onwards. In the Random Arena. Room 1317

{nearby} KingAce : OK. Morris, let's go.

Morris clicked his tongue and followed after KingAce who had left the road, moving towards the village.

{party} Morris : Ace, why did you accept it? That Janis, he's still the same as before. Loathsome attitude of his makes me want to puke every time I see him in the game.

{party} KingAce : If it was before, I can't say for sure we'll win the battle, but now... I have a 85% confidence that we'll win against them.

{party} Morris : then what about the 15%?

{party} KingAce : that's unless he had found a new skilled member.

Jing Wen Xun leaned against Xie Xi Qi on the sofa in his office. But Xie Xi Qi wasn't really listening to him. He was concentrating on reading his book.

He quietly flipped his book, ignoring the lover who had closed in on him. Jing Wen Xun swiftly grabbed on his book and placed it aside. Xie Xi Qi blinked his eyes, his glasses taken off by the man as well.
