Chapter 14 - ???

Xie Xi Qi was typing on his laptop when he received an email from his friend in the Research Team. He blinked his eyes, his glasses tilted up with his fingers as he read the contents within the email. He raised a smile on his face.

"Welcome back, Mr.7."

Xi Qi stood on top of a building in a marketplace, opened his message box, finding 0 message, he turned it off and checked upon who was online from among his friend list.

It's only 10pm.... Why isn't there anyone playing TMO tonight?

One of the names on his list turned green. It's Mi Li Zhou. Xie Xi Qi immediately sent a message over.

{whisper to Lena28}Mr.7: Mi Zhou, come to the marketplace, below Mongoose Mountain.

{whisper to Mr.7}Lena28: Roger!

A red haired female battle priest rushed at Mr.7 upon seeing him. Her cloak fluttered behind her, the red twin tails springing up and down.

{whisper to Mr7}Lena28: Senior Xi Qi, I'm here!

{whiper to Lena28}Mr7: Oh. Come with me for a while... I got something I need your help with.

{whisper to Mr7}Lena28: OK!

Reaching a hidden alley in town, Lena28 followed Mr.7 entering a transfer portal. Unnoticed by the players around the town, the transfer portal activated and the two players disappeared with a blue light emitted from the portal, they were transferred to a different map.

Lena28 was surprised when her sight went blurry and their location had changed to a wild forest instead. And a notification popped up to her. Mr.7 had added her into a party.

{party}Lena28: Senior Xi Qi, what is this place? I've never heard of this..... Forest of Will?

Mr.7 nodded. He pointed at the forest before moving forward into the forest.

{party}Lena28: Wait...! Senior Xi Qi! Are we just going in? Aiyoo.....

She followed along, step by step, they entered the forest. The howling sound made Lena28 cringed. She pulled Mr.7's cloak from the back, making him stop walking forward even further in. And a small figure appeared in the vicinity. It was a little girl in red dress, with large eyes, and a smiling face. It was moving slowly, and dragging a puppet with it. The puppet's eyes were rolling around, till it landed on the female battle priest. Lena28 felt a shiver along the skin. How creepy!!

{party}Lena28: Uwaaaaaa!!! Senior Xi Qi! You knew I hated these kind of mobs! Why are you calling me over for this ahhh??!

Mr.7 chuckled, the little girl seemed to have noticed them as she threw the puppet at them and yelled out a shrill scream. The puppet fell on the floor and transformed into a female battle priest, just like a certain player.

{party}Lena28: Senior Xi Qi!!! That thing!! It changed into me ahh!! What's that??! Uwaaa.....! Σ(っﾟДﾟ；)っ

{party}Mr.7: That's a doppelganger. A new mob character Leon made. He asked me to check on it. The name of the little girl is Mana, and her Howling Doppelganger puppet. You have to kill the puppet first if you want the trigger key to the quest.

{party}Lena28: ?? What quest?

{party}Mr.7: It's a hidden quest, it will be officially open when the game expansion is updated. In total, there's about 26 quests related to the main quest, Requiem of the Nano, another 15 hidden quests are added as well. And 35 types of mobs and bosses were  created for the quests. What do you think? Cool eh?

{party}Lena28: ( TДT) Senior Xi Qi, I don't want to fight this thing ah..... It's too eerie....!

{party}Mr.7: ...... Okay... We weren't supposed to touch them for now. Just observing.... It's not fully updated yet.

Morris stepped on the ground when he returned to the game. Seeing Lena28 and Mr.7's names were green, signifying that both players were online, he tried to send them a message, but it was rejected. He was stupefied by the notification.

{nearby}Morris: ? Aren't they online? Why did the messages......? Where are they?

The transfer portal emitted a blue light and the two reappeared at the same location in town. Lena28 couldn't help but shivered at the thought of the new mobs the M&J's Research Team had included using some characters made by the Character Design Team. Mr.7 stopped in his tracks, and turned around to look at Lena28.

{party}Mr.7: I have something else I need your help with, Mi Zhou.

{party}Lena28: .... (╥_╥) Please not another eerie place....

{party}Mr.7: Ah... It's not that.... That.... Uhmnn....

{party}Lena28: Then what is it?

{party}Mr.7: That... Where would you normally go for a date? I'm not sure where we should go.... And he's just back in the country....

{party}Lena28: What?! You...! Y-you... You're going on a date with the Team leader? Really??

Mr.7 nodded. Was it that surprising? Lena28 slapped her own forehead.

{party}Lena28: I forgot.... Senior Xi Qi, you've never gone on a date, haven't you?

{party}Mr.7: Oh.... No, I don't.

A notification popped up to them both. It was from Morris. He was asking where they have been since the message couldn't reach them earlier.

Mr.7 replied to his message that they were in the hidden dungeon they accidentally found where they couldn't reconnect to the outside unless they cleared the dungeon. And that they were going to leave the game for the day soon.

{party}Mr.7: So... Where do you think we should go for the date?

{party}Lena28: Somewhere....nice in the city? Go for a drive, eat some good food, shopping, then head over to the hotel and get....!!

Mr.7 raised his hand and smacked at the back of Lena28's head. She stumbled but got back to her foot in no time. She rubbed on the back of the head. A notification popped up, saying she was attacked, and was allowed to retaliate within 30 secs.

{party}Lena28: Ouchhh!! Why did you hit me, Senior Xi Qi??

{party}Mr.7: Nothing. It's just a reflex. I thought you were going to say something bad for my heart...

{party}Lena28: ........

{party}Mr.7: Sorry....

{party}Lena28: ..... Let me do the planning for your date. Then I'll forgive you....

{party}Mr.7: Can I trust you for that?

{party}Lena28: Then what do you think I can help you with? Join you for a double date?

Mr.7 seemed to be in thoughts, nodding his head, thinking that the idea doesn't sound too bad.... Lena28's face darkened immediately.

{party}Lena28: No way! I don't need two lightbulbs on my date with my Nana! Σ(っﾟДﾟ；)っ Hmph....!

{party}Mr.7: Oo....
