Chapter 24 - A Weird Lady

"Where will he be settling in when he returns to the country? He's not considering to live in your apartment, is he?"

Jing Wen Xun nudged his lover's arm. The thoughts of their relationship being coerced by this father in law were too horrifying to think of. His attractive subtle voice literally tuned down to the lowest, whispering alike. Instead of Xie Xi Qi, the father gazed at him like a fierce lion, an obvious notation that he had heard his pathetic muttering.

Useless boy, what was he thinking of doing to my son if I'm not around? I'm going to cancel my new house contract once we get there.

"What, you want to reason with me for living with my own son now?"

"No, father in law."

Losing without a fight, he quietly slid back down in his seat. Xie Xi Qi had his eyes closed to rest, ignoring the two from his left and right on the long flight home.

"Such an impression you've done, Director Mo. The presentation on the summer update is remarkable. Our President is extremely pleased to make our investments in TMO."

"Thank you. I will see you again once the contract is revised."

"Sure, will do."

Successfully getting yet another investment, Mo Ding Chen happily walked out of the soon to be partner company situated in the familiar shopping district, a couple of streets away from where M&J company was. Recalling there was a friend who happens to have opened up a business around this area, he headed straight for the shop.

Red, pink, and some other bright colored undergarments hanging by the entrance. Mo Ding Chen stood there thinking if this is the shop belonged to his old friend, Tony. The business was rather good for such a small-scale clothing shop. He easily found himself the staff who could lead him to his friend Tony, their boss.

"Boss is in the backroom, doing inventory." The staff was helpful and friendly he noted.

"Thank you." Mo Ding Chen had to walk past a few customers to get through the rather cramped space. Two children came into the shop with their mother were running around and they had bumped into him. Pushed a few steps back, his hand accidentally pressed onto something round and springy behind him as he tried to steady his steps.

That felt so... squishy?

"I-I'm so..."

His apology was cut short, yet to be explained. A certain person in a dark red dress had  turned around and grabbed his arm. He was involuntarily thrown over the shoulder. Mo Ding Chen landed on the floor with a row of hanged undergarments to his left fell on top of him.

"Pervert." He heard the words were clearly spoken right as he sat up. It was deep, surely did not sound like a lady. The boss, Tony had rushed out to the front store after hearing the clattering commotions.

"What the hell occurred here? Ronald? What are you doing? Did you like the panties so much to get buried under the lot? Here, I'll help you up."

Resisting the looks the female customers were giving him thanks to the unwanted disaster and his friend's thoughtless words, Mo Ding Chen got back onto his feet. Sighing his regrets for coming here, he brushed off the few strands of thread stuck to his trousers.

"Just a string of accidents," he tried explaining everything in the simplest way possible.

"Right, right." The boss comprehended the situation immediately. He turned to the lady and hunched a little. "I apologize for this whole mess, Miss Xie. This is all a misunderstanding. My old friend, Ronald, he works in M&J corporation as a director. I can assure you of his personality. There will not be a second time. How about I give you a forty percent discount?"
