Chapter 15 (Date part 1)

The shopping street was bustling, Xie Xi Qi was standing by the Giovanni's shop, waiting for Jing Wen Xun. His palms were sweating and he kept checking on his watch, wondering whether he arrived a little too early.

"Did I arrived too early? But it's almost 11am now...."

Someone patted his shoulder from the back, giving him a shock. Xie Xi Qi turned around to see it was Jing Wen Xun. He put up an awkward smile.

"Ah. You're here?"

"Mm. Did you wait long?"

"No, I didn't. I just arrived too."

Jing Wen Xun chuckled. Why was his expression so cute?

20 minutes earlier, Jing Wen Xun had arrived early. He thought he could look around while waiting for Xie Xi Qi, but he noticed the latter fidgeting near the shopping mall. So Jing Wen Xun stood aside, amusingly watched. And only went over when the time arrived.

"Then, let's get going?"

Xie Xi Qi nodded, his expression was stiff and his eyes darted around. Jing Wen Xun felt the need to laugh but he suppressed it down. He followed along Xie Xi Qi who led them to the coffee shop. The coffee sold here wasn't anything special, but the cakes and pastries, even the sandwiches were delicious.

He watched Xie Xi Qi ate his food with a good mood. His lips simply curved up on its own. Jing Wen Xun noticed a little smudge of cream at the corner of Xi Qi's lips. He took a tissue and went closer over the table, wiping it off for Xi Qi. Xi Qi coughed and spoke in a low whisper.

"You could have just told me, see, the girls over at the table over there were staring at us...."

"Well.... who cares about them. I'm out on a date with my boyfriend. Why should I care what others think of us...."

Xi Qi blushed, up to his ears. He quietly took his cup of coffee and drank. They went to pay for the bill at the counter, coincidentally the girls from the other table were as well. Jing Wen Xun noticed them staring at Xi Qi with gleaming eyes. He was kind of annoyed.

He took his credit card out and slammed on the counter. And turned to look at Xie Xi Qi. Jing Wen Xun boldly made his move, holding Xie Xi Qi's hand, even made it a tight interlock. Xie Xi Qi was surprised. He hurriedly tried to wrench out his hand out of his grasp, but he was shushed.

"Shh.... Don't move. Be good, my dear. Your hubby me will give you some goodies later, alright?"

"...W-what...?!"

Xie Xi Qi was immediately stupefied by his words. Face flushed. Jing Wen Xun even showed off their interlocking hands to the girls. Placing his lips on Xie Xi Qi's hand, and smirked at them. He took his card back after the bill was paid, and pulled Xie Xi Qi along, out of the shop.

"You idiot.....! Wasn't that embarrassing for you? Why aren't you releasing your hand?"

Xie Xi Qi frowned, scolding Jing Wen Xun but the latter didn't even just not released his grip, but further tightened it even more.

"Like I've said, why should we care what they thought of us.... Come on, let's go to the cinema...."

Jing Wen Xun pulled Xie Xi Qi, towards the cinema. The two sat next to each other in the dark, with drinks placed on the sides, and a box of popcorn in Xie Xi Qi's hand. Their hands still interlocked at the moment. Xie Xi Qi had quieted down after a few minutes after and let Jing Wen Xun do as he please.

The movie was an action one, as expected. The cinema wasn't full, only a few people filling up the seats randomly. The huge screen was bright, and the movie started.

Xi Qi took a couple of popcorns, popping into his own mouth, while enjoying the movie. He felt a tug on his hand. And turned to look at Jing Wen Xun who was gesturing for the popcorn. Xi Qi raised the box, wanting to pass it over but found the man refusing it.

This man..... Just as troublesome as the him in the game....

Understanding his gesture by now, Xie Xi Qi took some popcorns and fed it to Jing Wen Xun. It made Jing Wen Xun so pleased when they both came out of the cinema.

They had a short walk around the mall, until Jing Wen Xun spotted the V-Arcade. The two entered. It was pretty bustling in there. Especially on the virtual RPG section. Xie Xi Qi refused to play, so Jing Wen Xun only joined the PvP arena by himself. Xie Xi Qi stood on the side as he watched Jing Wen Xun entered the game capsule. And the huge screen lit up to show two characters. And the fight began.

Jing Wen Xun was expertise in PvP as Xi Qi thought. His character moved in a way that his opponent couldn't figure what he was doing and soon his opponent was defeated. The others, watching in the section, were cheering. But when the two players emerged from the game, the opponent seemed rather furious at Jing Wen Xun's way of defeating him.

"How is that a defeat?! Come and fight it out once in a straight manner. Don't do it in that kind of a long run!! Aren't you a warlord? Why are you playing like a thief?"

Jing Wen Xun was about to retort to his words, when Xie Xi Qi stepped in and calmly spoke.

"How bout I take over for him? Ah Xun, my dear, you don't mind right?"

Xie Xi Qi put out his hand. Seeing that Xi Qi seemed about to explode right now, Jing Wen Xun obediently placed his temporary game card onto Xi Qi's hand. Xi Qi and the opponent entered the game soon after. And what happened next greatly surprised them.

Same PvP characters, yet a different manner of fighting. Xi Qi completely dominated the arena with the most straightforward bashing. The opponent was completely unable to avoid it. He was left open and the combo hit raised up to a hundred and more by the time the opponent was KOed. It only took up only a few minutes to get it done.
