"Senior Xi Qi, you've got delivery!"
"Oh, coming..."
Xie Xi Qi stood up from his chair and headed towards the door. It's been a week since he came back to work. He had been busy as his works piled up while in his absence.
The delivery man was waiting to get his signature from the recipient. He had thought the recipient would be a woman as the buyer was a man who seemed to be choosing the flowers for his girlfriend, so he was a little surprised at seeing Xie Xi Qi. Xi Qi frowned when he saw the delivery man's expression.
"Is there a problem?"
"Ah? No....of course not! Please sign here..."
He laughed awkwardly. Xi Qi signed on the paper and received his bouquet of colorful roses. After the delivery man left, Xi Qi went back to his seat with the bouquet. His colleagues surrounded him.
"Say, Senior Xi Qi, who would send you a flower bouquet? Your lover?"
"Not sure. I haven't check on the card yet."
Xie Xi Qi looked around and found a small pink card on the side. He took it out and read quietly. It wrote:
"To my beloved Xi Qi, let's go to the rooftop for lunch today. I've brought you some bento box, full of my love. So make sure you come alright! Love you (*^3^)/~♡ from Jing Wen Xun."
Xi Qi chuckled. This man.... How can he wrote so childishly. No wonder the delivery man was staring at him weirdly..... He quickly closed the card. And looked at his colleagues.
"What are you looking at? Hurry up and get back to your work."
"Heh....Senior Xi Qi is being shy...."
They laughed. And quickly rushed back to their seats before Xi Qi could put in another word.
Xi Qi sat down, and placed the rose bouquet on the side as he returned to his work on the computer. From time to time, he'll turned to look at it with a smile. His phone buzzed, and he opened it to see a message from the said lover.
"Did you received it yet?"
"Yes. Thank you for the roses."
Xi Qi typed.
"So what was your reply? Will you be coming later on?"
He paused. Xi Qi thought for a moment for how he should reply him. He typed in as he lightly bit his lower lip.
"I'll come. See you later on the rooftop."
"Love you! ♥"
Xi Qi slammed his head on the desk. He squealed in his mind as he blushed. Xi Qi chuckled. Little Ah Xun is so cute! He stared at the message as he smiled.
He hadn't recognized me yet, does he? It's been so many years since then. It'll be a wonder if he did. Besides, didn't he thought I was Xi Yu back then? But Xi Yu's not here anymore, who's going to clear this misunderstanding? Ah, whatever....
**
Xi Qi just finished his drawing, when he heard the colleague next to him was going to lunch. He looked at his watch. It's 1.35pm. Lunch time.
He stood up and left the department, and headed towards the rooftop. He had a great mood at the moment. A lunch date with little Ah Xun at the rooftop. How nice...
But the smile on his face immediately disappeared as soon as he saw the face that first greeted him. A huge lightbulb called Qiu Jin Shui. Seriously? And it seemed there's another two as well. Jing Wen Xun came over to get him when he heard Jin Shui said his name.
"You're here? Come, I'll introduce you to them. Mi Li Zhou is here too."
He held Xi Qi's hand and led him over to the picnic mat. Xi Qi sat down next to Mi Zhou.
"This is Qiu Jin Shui, and the guy with the glasses is Mo Ding Ling. They're my friends from A Country, also my childhood friends."
"Oh, hello, nice to meet you. I'm Xie Xi Qi. From Creative Department."
"Do you want to drink anything? I'll go get it."
Xi Qi nodded, and Jing Wen Xun left towards the drinking machine. Qiu Jin Shui kept on bombarding Xi Qi with questions, making him irritated. It was not shown on his face, but Mi Zhou knew Xi Qi would explode at any moment now.
"Have you been working in M&J for a long time?"
"Yes. 7 years now."
"Do you have siblings? Any brother or sister?"
"Seven. Five little brothers and two little sisters."
"You're the eldest? Wow...."
"Do you used to have a girlfriend?"
"No."
"Do you go to the gay bar often?"
"No."
"Do you play TMO?"
"No."
"You don't play TMO?"
Xie Xi Qi paused, as he heard Jing Wen Xun's voice from behind him. Did he just replied no earlier? Ah.....he did. He looked at Jing Wen Xun who had just sat down next to him.
"I play TMO. Just recently."
"Oh, really? We've been playing for 7 years since the first launching. What's your username?"
Jin Shui asked again.
"I don't tell anyone of my username."
"Oh."
"It's fine if you don't tell us. Lots of people like being secrecy about playing games so I don't mind. Let's eat."
Xi Qi nodded. The whole time, Mi Zhou only sat there quietly eating. She didn't say a word of anything. Only Jin Shui had been chatty with the others occasionally spoke a few words.
After lunch time ended, the others left on the lift first. Xi Qi and Jing Wen Xun took the other one as Jing Wen Xun told them he had things to say to Xie Xi Qi in private. He held Xi Qi's hand while in the lift. The rooftop was on 58th level so it takes some time to get down. There was only silence all the way till 10th, when Jing Wen Xun spoke.
"Xi Qi, let's go on a date. Just the two of us. This weekend."
Xi Qi blinked his eyes, and looked at the man. Did he know he was unhappy earlier? He hadn't replied him yet. Jing Wen Xun, seeing Xi Qi still in thoughts and they were about to reach the 5th level where Xi Qi's department was, he sneaked a quick kiss on Xi Qi's lips.
And the lift opened. Xi Qi could only walked out with a slight blush on his face. Jing Wen Xun chuckled. He saw Xi Qi took out his phone when the lift closes. And his own phone buzzed.
He took it out and saw a message from Xi Qi. It was a reply to his invitation.
"I'd ♥ to."
