MING'S POV

Barreling into the house I slam the door behind me and peek out the side light window. Kit is still sitting in his car looking stunned. He's holding his hand over his cheek and his lips are curved up just a tiny bit, hinting at a possible smile.

"Ooh, he's a cutie." A soft voice says from over my right shoulder, scaring the crap out of me.

Spinning to look behind me I come face to face with Yo's mom, Queen Achara. I immediately try to drop to one knee, but she already has ahold of my arms and is pulling me back to my feet.

"Stop that, you're going to miss seeing him leave." She tells me then looks back toward the window again. "Look quick, he's going."

Spinning once again to face the door, I catch just the briefest glimpse of Kit as his car backs up and turns to head out to the main street.

"When do I get to meet him, Mingkwan?" She asks.

"My Queen, I'm not sure. He's still a little skittish."

She gives a soft laugh at my description, then tells me, "Be patient then and don't scare him off. Ok?"

"Yes, my Queen, I'll try."

"Now put down your things and come into the living room. Oh, and stop calling me that."

Chuckling to myself, I agree, "Yes, mae."

WAYO'S POV

We talked for a few minutes last night after Ming got home, but it was obvious everyone was tired and ready for bed. So, we decided to turn in and start fresh in the morning with clear heads.

When my alarm went off this morning I admit I didn't want to get up. However, the enticing smell of food wafting through the house drew my attention, so I drug my lazy butt out of bed. After throwing on some comfortable clothes, washing my face, and brushing my teeth, I jogged downstairs to track down the yummy scents calling my name.

The house is unusually quiet as I wander through it this morning. It should be bustling with people because of all the extra bodies staying with us, but it's not. Wondering if everyone is still sleeping I walk into the kitchen to find tons of all different kinds of food laid out buffet style. Figuring I'll find everyone after I eat, I make myself a plate and dig in.

A few minutes later, as I'm considering refilling my now empty plate for the third time, a booming noise echoes out of the backyard startling me a bit. Well at least now I know where everyone is. Hopefully the packs are just sparring and it's not all out war. I better get out there to confirm what's going on just in case though.

Walking swiftly through the garden area, I soon hit the tree line and make my way to the open field area beyond. The first thing I see as I get close is Mom and Ming sitting off to the side on benches which were pulled off the back porch.

After completely clearing the trees, I get a good look at the battle field laid before me. I'm not sure how long they've been out here but it's been apparently awhile since they seem to be down to just two conscious members per side left fighting. Montry and Chaang are still standing for our pack and Kla and Pakpao are still up for Mom's.

Searching through the fallen bodies I find Jay, Zee and Red along with the three fallen members of Mom's pack laying off to the side of the field. They're still a bit too close to the ongoing fighting for my comfort though, so I bubble them and pull them over to the side lines near us.

Worried for my friends, I move between the three of them placing short kisses on their foreheads to help speed their healing process. When I'm done I catch Mom's attention and ask, "What do you want me to do with your three?"
