FORTH'S POV

"Where are they going?" Beam questions me as soon as I come back to the table from talking to Pha and Yo.

"Who?" I ask like I have no idea what he's talking about.

"Them. Pha and Yo. Who else?" He answers me with a bit of irritation in his voice.

"Oh, them. Ging asked Pha to pick up dinner for everyone and Yo was bored, so he asked to go with him." He looks pretty confused right now. I can almost see the wheels turning in his mind trying to figure out what's going on.

"So, you let him?" He asks followed by more questions. Apparently, it only took one to open the flood gates for others. "I thought you were flirting with him? Didn't Pha tell you he was interested in him? Aren't you worried about him stealing Yo out from under your nose?"

"He told me, but I'm not worried." I respond confidently and honestly. How can Pha steal him when he isn't mine? "Besides, Yo's not a fickle kid." Oops, didn't mean to let that last part slip out. It's a bit of a jab, and if the flush on his cheeks is any indication he knows it's for him.

"You don't know that! You just met..." He's getting a little huffy and I don't want him mad, just jealous.

Cutting him off by leaning in close to his face, I change the subject by asking, "Ai'Beam, I'm hungry too. Do you want to go grab some dinner with me?"

"W-what? W-when?" He asks.

Damn that stutter was cute. I love making him flustered. Keeping him off center I say, "Now."

BEAM'S POV

Clearing my throat, I take a minute to regain my composure before complaining, "You're bored because that kid left, so now you remember you have other friends. It would serve you right if I said no."

"Well, if you say no, I guess I could always join Pha and Yo for dinner. I mean you might be right, maybe I should go and monitor them. They also might need help bringing all the food and drinks back. I don't know why I didn't think of that earlier. I'll just catch up..."

"Alright fine. Let's go." Pha will murder me if Forth shows up and crashes his dinner date with Yo. At least that's the plausible excuse I settle on to make myself feel better for agreeing.

"Great. We can take my bike. Come on." He tells me with a smile as we start walking towards the parking lot.

Letting my thoughts drifts back over this crazy situation, I just don't understand the big deal about that kid. Why are Forth and Pha both interested in him. I admit he's cute and that my hunger was stirred by him, but he's a little too innocent for me. Plus, I prefer my guys less... soft. I like them tall, with tan skin that ripples over their muscled torsos and backs. Bad boys with silky black hair and high cheek bones and full kissable lips. Like Forth.

LIKE FORTH? NO! Argh!!! I shake my head to clear out the rebellious thoughts. Damn, that kiss has completely screwed up my thought process!

The sudden rumbles of hunger coming from my stomach, make me wrap my arms around myself to try to conceal the noises it's releasing. I wish it was that easy to hide it once it starts up but it's not. Especially when it's not food that it wants.

Trying to get my mind out of the freaking gutter it fell into, I notice Forth standing and watching me as he holds his spare helmet. I move to take it from him, but he pulls it out of my reach then steps up close and places it on my head himself. His face is so close to mine as he leans in to click the buckle into place and double check it's secure for safety.
