WAYO'S POV
The pack agreed to let Pha drive me home, and I must admit I'm still in quite a bit of shock over that. It was not something I expected them to do, since they hate allowing people to know where we live. Mind you, this was no easy feat to accomplish. It took a lot of begging and pleading, then some yelling and threatening, and finally some bargaining, but I made it happen. A small part of me wants to believe they're finally relaxing their guard a tiny bit, but a much larger part of me knows not to get my hopes up.
Pha has a nice car. An Audi something or other. I'm not sure exactly but I know it's nice. I've been in it a bunch of times since we've been going to dinner together for the last few weeks, but tonight feels different. Maybe it's because I'm not sneaking around behind my friends' backs with him this time. Hmm, I didn't realize how heavily that was weighing on my conscious until just now.
At this point, we're out of the parking lot and on the main road around campus heading to my home. It's a short drive, so I was hoping to make the most of it, however this isn't turning out as fun as I hoped it would be. It's kind of frustrating actually, because instead of talking and flirting with me Pha's been completely preoccupied staring at the rear-view mirror the whole time.
That's it. It's driving me crazy. I have to know what he's looking at. When we pull to a stop at the red light I twist halfway in my seat to look through the back window and see... the grill of our tank almost crawling into Pha's trunk. Heaving an exasperated sigh, I resettle in my seat shaking my head in frustration with my brothers.
Even though I really want to yell at them right now, I know how hard it was for them to let this happen. However, I should have known better than to underestimate them.
Embarrassed by the way they're behaving, I try to apologize, "P'Pha, I'm sorry about..."
Taking my hand in his, he interrupts me, "Shorty, stop. Really, it's ok. A little nerve racking, but ok. I understand why they act the way they do, and I don't blame them for being protective. Just, do they have to drive so close to my car?"
Chuckling at him being worried about getting his car scratched, I show him the last turn he needs to make to get to the house. As we pull up in the drive the tank zooms past us in the tight driveway heading around the side of the house to the garage. They barely missing taking out Pha's side view mirror, causing him to gasp and flinch at the near miss. I watch in amusement as he rolls down his window and strokes his mirror lovingly to make sure it's ok.
Clearing my throat to interrupt his touching moment with his car, I ask, "Do you want to come in for a little while?"
"Can I? I don't want them freaking out." He says pointing out the windshield at the pack of hounds lined up in front of the car waiting for me.
Wow, they must have run to get over here so quickly. Taking in the expressions on their faces, I look at Pha, smiling mischievously, and ask him in return, "How brave are you feeling?"
Grinning back at me, he reaches for his door handle as he replies, "For you, I can face them. Let's go."

PHANA'S POV
As Yo shows me around, all I can think of is how massive and intimidating his house is. It has two wings, 12 bedrooms and is situated in a secluded high-end neighborhood close to his faculty. This isn't a house you rent out to go to school, this is a house families pass down through generations. It must have cost his family a fortune. The set-up makes sense once I think about it though. I mean how else do you house a pack and their charge, or in this case up to two packs and their charges. Still, it's completely over the top.
