MING'S POV
'P'Kit and I are sitting outside at the picnic tables.'
Yo's voice suddenly pops into my head and my body involuntarily jolts throwing my dance rhythm completely off. It's impossible for it not to affect me this way at this point because it's just weird. Someone else's voice just shouldn't be able to unexpectedly pop into your head. I think it's going to take me a while to get used to that, although I'm not sure it's something I should have to get used too. Maybe I should ask him to refrain from doing it unless it's an emergency. I know it's natural for him and the hounds, but I'm not sure I like it. I don't know. It's also kind of cool though that we can talk like this without others knowing. Argh. It's hard to decide. I guess I should think about it a bit longer.
While I'm arguing with myself over the best ways to deal with Yo's new and invasive power, his words finally settle into my brain. 'What happened?! Is he ok?' Spinning fast, I try looking out the windows to confirm what he said, but I can't see anything through the glare from the afternoon sun.
Laugher echoes through my thoughts, 'Took you long enough to react. He's fine, I told you to trust me. I explained everything, and he's agreed to keep my secret.'
Relief floods through me at his words. I'm so thankful he was able to convince Kit. I'm not going to lie, I was a little afraid of what the hounds would have done to him if he hadn't agreed. Shifting gears, I immediately beg, 'Yo! Help me! Talk me up to Kit. Tell him good things about me. List all my wonderful characteristics. Lie if you have too!'
Laughter resounds through my head again and it brings a smile to my face as well. Yo's a softy, so I know he'll help me.
'Sure, but it's going to cost you.' Ok, maybe he's not as soft as I thought.
'How much?'
'Pfft, I don't need your money I have my own. Besides, I want something else.'
'Just spit it out already.' I tell him getting impatient.
'Fine. Freedom. That's what I want. I want to be able to go and do things while you're here at practice. Like tonight I want to pick up dinner again with Pha when he goes, and I want to eat at the restaurant while we're waiting, and I want to do it without you bitching about it.'
Could've guessed that was coming. 'You know I was only mad because you didn't tell me where you were going, and I was worried. It's fine if you want to go, I know you can take care of yourself. Just tell me beforehand. Ok?'
'Yay!' He yells in my head excitedly, and I swear I hear clapping, but he can't clap in my head, can he? 'Alright. Look, I'll keep P'Kit busy for now and I'll even figure out something not awful to tell him about you, but on your next break you need to get out here and talk to him yourself.'
'Deal. I'll be out there as soon as possible.' Damn, I wish I could go and join them now, because I really want to talk to Kit, but I'll have to wait. Focusing once more on the music and dance moves, I get back into sync with the group.

WAYO'S POV
It's after 5pm now and practice is still going strong. They've already had two water breaks and Ming has come out to talk to Kit both times, and both times I've dragged Forth and Pha away from them with whatever lame excuse I could come up with at the time. I know their next break should be any minute now and I'm trying to figure out what to tell the guys this time.
Sure enough, less than five minutes later a rest is called, and Ming comes trotting out the door. When his eyes land on Kit his face lights up and his name slips happily from his lips, "P'Kit."
