Chapter 11- A Lady with a temper

William

"William, si Ate Jack. Bilisan mo." Sigaw ni Xykie sa tenga ko. Nagulat si Lady Charlotte pati ang servant na chaperone namin nang bigla akong tumayo at tumakbo palabas ng library.
"Ano ang nangyari?" Tanong ko habang tumatakbo.
"Nasa garden sila...East side. Basta bilisan mo."

Naabutan ko si Jack na nakahalukipkip at nakikipaglaban ng titigan kay Henry. Her hair is a mess, she has blood on her knees and arm and she still stubbornly stand there and dare my knight in a pissing eye contest.

"What happened in here?" I asked in my authority voice.
"Who is she?" Tanong ni Henry.
"Why do have blood? Are you hurt?" Tanong ko kay Jacqueline.
"Your cousin tried to molest me." Galit na sagot nito. Naningkit ang mata ni Henry dahil sa pagsagot ni Jack.
"Lucas?" Tanong ko.
"What? No... Si Theo." She replied.
Si Theo?
"She runs toward this direction and bumped me. She got out of balance and stumbled on the ground. Theo is running after her." Pagkukwento ni Henry.
"She answered Theo the way any servant girl will not do. Who is she, William? I swear I remember her with that arrogant blue-eyed devil during the kidnap." Tanong ni Henry. He is not only my knight, but he is also my best friend. I looked around to see if there are around. As much as I want to help Jacqueline, I know she will just shake it off.

"One of the royal crowns is missing," I told Henry. Napaderetso ng tayo si Henry.
"Which one?" Tanong niya.
"The crown for Princess," I replied.
"Why I only heard this now?" May halong galit na tanong ni Henry.
"By King's orders. I shouldn't disclose it to anyone." Sagot ko.
Tinuro ni Henry si Jacqueline na nakahalukipkip pa rin at pinapatay si Henry sa talim ng pagkakatingin.
"She's helping us to solve the case," I replied.
"You should have told me."
"I know. I'm sorry." I answered. "My hands are tied up."

"What is your lead?" Tanong ni Henry kay Jacqueline.
"Why will I tell you?" I am amazed how Jacqueline can reply to Henry like that. Henry is a massive 6'6" guy. He is taller than me by three inches.

"Jackie, he is at our side." I tried to calm her. I can feel her anger...
"If your cousin will lay a hand on me. I will punch throat him, William. Royal blood or not." Galit na humarap sa akin si Jacqueline.
"Nothing to worry. I will kill him if he touches you." I replied. My anger started to boil. Theo will not see me coming.

"Let's go to the room... I will discuss it with you..." Tumingin si Jacqueline kay Henry and back at me.
"After I clean up. Please help me to get a call from your mother."

Tumango ako sa request nya. Nahihirapan siyang tumakas kay Lottie.

"What the devil is this place?" nakatayo ako sa entrance ng secret room habang tinitingnan ni Henry lahat ng monitor pati mga baril ni Jacqueline na nakasabit sa wall.
"Don't touch anything," I told him.
Nakita ko sa monitor na papunta na ng kwarto ni mama si Jacqueline but Theo is on her way hiding on the corner. Henry is also looking at her.

"What the hell!" sabay kaming tumakbo ko Henry sa passage hall pabalik sa entrance sa kwarto ko.
"I will kill him..." I swore though I know Jacqueline can kill my cousin by herself.

Lucas is pacing back and forth when we came to Jacqueline.
"Your brother tried to molest me earlier, Your Grace," I can feel Jacqueline's anger.
"I said shut up." Sigaw ni Lucas.
"What the hell are you doing, Lucas?" Sigaw ko kay Lucas na nakapagpahinto sa paglakad-lakad niya.
"That woman has a knife on Theo's throat," Lucas shouted back.
"Because your brother tried to rape her. If I were here, I will do the same. And I swear if I see Theo in this palace, I will cut his throat myself." My anger is consuming me. Henry put his hand on my shoulder to keep me in place.
"You believe her more than your blood?" Tanong ni Lucas na parang hindi makapaniwala.
"Your Grace, I saw Theo earlier when he runs after this lady and tried to hurt her. She is running away from him..." Paliwanag ni Henry.
"Because he was trying to persuade me into bed and when I decline that's when he gets angry." Pagpapatuloy ni Jacqueline sa sinasabi ni Henry.
"I can't believe how disrespectful you are." Lucas launches towards Jacqueline but she held her place. Her head held high. Sinasalubong niya ang masamang tingin ni Lucas sa kanya with the same intensity of anger.
"You are a servant. Bow your head." Lucas gritted his teeth.
"I will not bow to you," Jacqueline replied.

Dapat magalit ako dahil kay Jacqueline dahil sa hindi niya pagrespeto but all I can feel is respect... And I am fucking proud of her for fighting Lucas.

"You can leave the palace first thing tomorrow, Lucas. And take Theo's things or I'll burn it myself." I said with finality. Hinawakan ko sa braso si Jacqueline at inakay ko papunta sa kwarto ni mama.
