Chapter 1- Prince William

William

"Anak, may problema." Bulong ni mama sa akin ng umagang iyon. Mabilis kong iniwan ang almusal ko sa mesa at sumunod ako sa office ng aking ama.
"His Majesty." Bati ko. Dahil tatay ko ang hari ng Cordonia kailangan kong magbow, for formality.
"Prince William. Close the door, please." My father said.
Tumayo ang mama ko sa likod ng aking ama. Kinakalma niya ang hari.
"What seems to be the problem?" I asked him.
"The crown for the princess is missing in the vault." He whispered to me.
Napasandal ako sa upuan.
"How?" I asked.
Umiling siya. "I don't know. I can't alarm the guards. This will give the crowd an opportunity to the crown."
"Someone wanted the crown," I concluded. "We need help with this. Someone we can trust." I massage my head. Too early for this kind of problem.
"Do you remember your friends? Those who saved Lady Cailee during the kidnap." Tanong ni mama.
"I don't know if they can help." Umiiling ako.
"At least try, William," Mama replied.
"Maybe I need to pay a visit... See if they can help me. I need to go to the Philippines."

"I will alert the guards." My father said.
"No. It will call for attention. Their place is safe to travel to. I don't need bodyguards." I replied.
"At least go with your valet." My father said.

Gusto kong umangal... If Khal and Cailee will see that valet, I will not hear the end of their mocking.

I started my journey going back to the Philippines with my trusted valet whom I ask not to act like a valet and just enjoy this vacation.

"Prince William." Kinamayan ako ni Mr. Sebastian and I think he is a little surprised on why on earth I am here.
"My apologies for the short notice," I told him.
"What can I do for you?" Straight to the point na tanong niya. He looks so much like his son whom I got a chance to watch play football.
"I actually need your help if you can hear me out," I told him. He looked at me with those piercing eyes and nodded.
I explain to him the missing crown and how it will affect the monarchy.

"Why you didn't ask for Europe Knights?" Tanong niya.
"We don't know who to trust anymore." I honestly replied. Tumango ulit si Mr. Sebastian.
"You need someone who can blend in. Someone who can speak and understand different languages." He said.

He made a few calls and after a few minutes, dumating ang tatlong lalaking hindi ko kilala.

Pinakilala ako ni Mr. Sebastian sa mga bagong dating. They are Mr. Ace Lagdameo, Mr. Marcus Roman, and Mr. Kyle Alejandro. Mr. Sebastian explained to me that they are the Pillars in Asia. They established the Knights of Leaders and they are trustworthy. I explain again, my concern and they understand the weight of our problem.

"Si Jack ang bagay sa mission." Mr. Kyle said to Mr. Ace.
"Si Jack, as in si Jacqueline?" I asked back.
"Marunong kang magtagalog?" Tanong ni Mr. Marcus.
Tumango ako. "My mama, the Queen, she is a Filipina. Classmate ko sila Jacqueline sa Brent dati."
"Ayun naman pala. Solve. Kaya ni Jack yan." Mr. Marcus said.
"Yun ay kung papayag si Jack." Nakatingin ng taimtim sa akin si Mr. Kyle. Parang may alam siya sa akin.
"Tanungin mo muna yung anak mo, Ace." Mr. Marcus said.
Napatingin ako kay Mr. Ace. Tatay siya ni Jack?
"Mukhang nagulat ka." Natatawang puna ni Mr. Marcus. "Hindi mo akalain ano?"
"It's not like that. Sometimes I forget that Jacqueline and King are twins." I replied.
Tinawagan ni Mr. Ace si Jacqueline at hindi nagtagal dumating siya sa office ni Mr. Sebastian. Nawala ang ngiti niya ng makita niya ako. Kung nagulat man siya na nandito ako, hindi ko iyon nakita sa mukha niya.

Mr. Sebastian explained the situation.
"Pwede naman si Gab." Suggestion niya.
"Mas matatandaan nila si Gab kaysa sayo during Cailee's kidnap incident," I answered.
"Why not the Europe Knights?" Tanong pa ni Jacqueline.
"We can't trust anybody in Europe," I replied.
"Bakit kaya hindi ka na lang mag-asawa para meron ng princess ang kaharian nyo?" Sarcastic na tanong nito.
"Whoever has the crown should be the next princess. She can dethrone my wife if ever. If ever lalaki man ang nakakuha noon, he will be next in line after me. Regardless kung nakaw man yun o hindi." Sagot ko.
"That's bullshit." She fired.
"It's our law. The law is hard, but it is the law." I replied with finality.

"Mukha naman magkakilala kayo." Mr. Kyle looked at Jacqueline.
"So it's settled then." Mr. Sebastian said to Jack.

"Thank you. If you excuse me, I want to visit my friends." Tumayo ako at kinamayan ko sila isa-isa. But Jacqueline turns her back on me and leaves the room.
"Just follow Jack and you can find your friends." Mr. Sebastian said, dismissing me.
