Zoeys (P.O.V)
The morning I woke up, it was the last day of school. I quickly grabbed my phone and texted my best friend Grace.
Me: Hey.
Grace: Hey, what's up?
Me: I was wondering if you can drive me to school, if thats cool with you?
Grace: Sure be ready in an hour!
Me: Okay! Thanks!
Grace: No problem.
As I was getting ready the first thing i've done was get dressed. I wore a blue shirt and some black shorts. I pulled out my strainer and straightened my hair, my hair was a light brown and pretty long too. Before I ate I put on some eyeliner and mascara. I went to my dads room to see if he was awake and when I peeked in his room he was still sleeping . I ran downstairs and looked in the fridge, there wasn't much so I grabbed a banana and some orange juice. As I finished up I heard Grace's car honk, I ran outside and hopped in the car and put on my seatbelt.
Grace's (P.O.V)
I was pulling up to Zoey's house and honked to let her know I was here. I saw her run to the car, and opened the door and put on her seat belt.
Me: So how's your dad?
Zoe: He's not so good, he keeps on drinking and when sometimes when I do absolutely nothing he will start to beat me like he'll slap my face, kick me and do other things that I hate its been really hard.
Me: Zoe I'm really sorry I wish this didn't happened to you, you know what they say every thing happens for a reason but why do you have to have this situation, it makes me so mad that he does this to you!
Zoe: I know he has started acting like this since my mom left but I don't understand why he takes it on me.
Me: I don't know either. Well at least it's the last day of school!
Zoe: I cant wait till the final bell rings!
Me: Me too, okay it looks like we are here!
