Minhyuk's Point of View

I woke up to a beeping noise. I was leaning against a bed, and on top of the bed there was another boy who was much taller than me. I looked for the source of the beeping and found a white monitor with two lines that crossed through the middle making an "x" over and over. It looked like a heart monitor that belonged in a hospital. In fact, this looked like a hospital room.

I jumped a little when I heard rustling from on top of the bed. I looked and saw that the other boy had sat up. He was in white clothes like mine. He rubbed his eyes and looked around. He smiled a little when he saw me and yawned.

"Security to Room 305," a feminine voice announced from speakers hidden around the room.

"That was a nice nap. Are we in Room 305? I'm Hyungwon by the way. I woke up a few times before you but I couldn't get you to wake up," the boy, Hyungwon, said.

"I don't know what room we're in. I'm Minhyuk. Nice to meet you Hyungwon. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper so I'm not surprised you couldn't wake me up," I responded.

He laughed. "Yeah, I know you're a heavy sleeper, I tried to move you to the other bed a few times. You were so heavy I thought you were dead," he said, laughing a little the whole time. For some reason, the part about thinking I was dead brought up a blurry image of a person in a bathtub of water and the feeling of sadness, but it was gone before I could figure out what it meant.

I decided to laugh with him. The door opened suddenly, scaring both of us, and two guards walked in with a man in doctor's clothing. One of the guards picked me up and sat me on the bed opposite Hyungwon's. The doctor man had the guards stand by the door as he looked at the monitor, frowning, before turning to us.

"I'm glad you're awake now Minhyuk. Hyungwon was awake last time I was here, and I had hoped you would be too. It's fine though, you're awake now. I am Lee Jooheon, but you can call me Doctor Honey. Now that the both of you are awake, I have a gift for you," he said. He pulled something out of his pockets and held out his hands. He had two gummy bears, a pink one in his right hand and a blue one in his left hand.

I looked at Hyungwon and he shrugged, so I reached out and took the blue one. I put it in my mouth and chewed while Hyungwon did the same with the pink one. Doctor Honey smiled and I felt something snap. It felt like something in my mind snapping, like a rope tethering my mind to something I couldn't see.

I grabbed the sides of my head at a sudden pain and groaned. I faintly heard Hyungwon doing the same on his bed.

"It's okay boys, just lay down and rake a nap. It'll be better when you wake up," Doctor Honey said. I nodded slightly and laid down. The shape pain had dulled into a constant throbbing. I heard the door open and close, muffling the footsteps leaving. I looked around and saw that Doctor Honey and the guards had left. I looked at Hyungwon and saw him curled up on his bed, eyes closed and gentle snores coming from his nose. I closed my eyes and fell back asleep.
