Minhyuk's Point of View

I walked out of the white smoke into a room with nine pillars. Each pillar had a ball on it. They ranged in size from about as bug as my fist to bigger than my head, and they either silver, black, or white. Along the longer walls, black cones hung upside down from the wall.

I sat against the wall between two of the cones. I had no clue what I was doing here. Or where this outfit had come from, because I knew for a fact I wasn't wearing it before I walked into the smoke.

I leaned my head back against the wall and sighed. I was probably going to be here a while. I hated wasting time.

A hand reached into the slot I had for a window. I stood up and walked over curiously. I jumped a little as the hand unexpectedly opened, allowing an old fashioned pocket watch to fall towards the ground. I grabbed the watch gently and held it in my hands. The hand pulled away as I kept examining the watch.

I popped the cover open. It was a beautiful little watch, but it seemed to have stopped keeping track of time a while ago. I looked on the back and noticed a carving. It was a name and another word. I stared at it for a while and the letters suddenly clicked into place.

Hyungwon's Time. That's what it said. I remembered Hyungwon.  My friend whose father had beaten him. I burned the City Hall when I found that out. The battle, and Hyungwon got hurt. I gave him the flower, and his smile faded. How did I not notice? Then we got smoked and woke up and...he committed suicide. And I saved him a third time.

How had I managed to spend so much time trying to take care of Hyungwon? I was surprised I hadn't gotten myself hurt. I was so reckless, I watched that fire and I ran through a rain of bullets because I thought I saw Hyungwon get shot somewhere in town.

I was here to learn a lesson. I could see that now. I was here to learn that no one's safety was more important than mine, and yes I could help others but I had to make sure I was being safe while I was helping others. I could have died because of my recklessness while trying to help Hyungwon stay safe.

I closed the casing of the watch and watched with a smile as the words on the back of the changes themselves until they read something different than before. Minhyuk's Time. I heard a faint ticking from inside the watch now. I clipped the chain to a pocket and set the watch in it.

I leaned against the pillar in front of my door. It had the biggest ball on it, a silver one. I waited for someone to open the door.

Jooheon's Point of View

The last door on the right side of the hallway opened. The darkness got a little lighter. I wondered who would be next. I really hoped all of them would figure it out, otherwise no one would ever get to leave this place.

Because with us, it was all or nothing. Because we were the X Clan, and we stuck together no matter what happened. We would all leave together.

Or we would all stay forever.
