17. Tsundere

Phana POV

He keeps crying in my embrace while I keep trying to coax him. I hear his sobbing is slowing down until it stop completely. That's when I notice he already fell asleep, standing. Lucky him I hold him tight, if not he might be lying on the dirt by now.

So I decide to carry him bridal style so I can take him back to the palace. Then he instinctively buries his face at the crook of my neck and his hands winding around my neck. Then he starts to snore quietly. Looks like he is comfortable now. So I start to walk back to the palace.

You must be wondering why I don't just teleport us back. It is not teleporting to be exact. It is called shadow travel. It is not as comfortable as teleporting since it will gives you a little headache and make you nauseous if you are not used to it. Last time, those guys were okay shadow traveled with me because of the rush of the adrenaline. So they kinda not noticed it. And, this prince of my is sleeping, so I don't want to interrupt his sleep it those side effects of the shadow travelling. And for that I willing to carry him all the way to the palace.

When I reach the palace, everything is in chaos. I see the maids and the butlers are running everywhere, in panic. Even the guards are in panic. But I just ignore everyone and continue walking to the prince's chamber. After I have tucked him in his bed, I go to the royal chamber to meet the king to ask him about the chaos. As I enter the chamber, I see everyone is there, the prince's personal guards, the commanders and vice commanders, and elder nate. Everyone is looking at me in shock.

"Why are you here Phana?! You said you already left. Do you know that prince is missing because of you?!" The king booms.

"I'm sorry my king for my selfishness. But I want to inform you that the prince is in his chamber, sleeping." I say as I kneel in front of him.

He looks at me in disbelieve. He asks Ming to check the prince's chamber. While Ming is checking, the king keeps giving a heated look. After a few minutes, Ming come back into the royal chamber, notifies the king and the others that the prince is indeed sleeping in his chamber.

"Tell me what happen Phana! Where were you and how you found Wayo?" The king demands. 

"I was at the old refuges center, my king, when I suddenly feel this uneasy feeling that the prince in is trouble. I immediately track him using my power by tracking my black aura that I placed in him. I found him surrounded by a dozen thugs two blocks away from the center."

Hearing that, the King sighs. Clearly relief that nothing happen to his son. "So are you returning to your position as his personal guard?"

"If he wants, my king"

"NO! I don't want him as  my personal guard anymore!" All eyes turn toward the voice. And behold, standing at the door is Prince Wayo, looking like nothing happen, like he didn't says anything .
