27. Meet The Gnomes (Part 1)

Kit POV.

"Beam." I call Beam. We are currently lying on our bed facing the ceiling.

"Hhmm." He just hums indicating he hears me calling him.

"Ming asked me to go back to his home with him this weekend."

"So?" He turns to lie on his side so that he is facing me.

"Should I go?"

"What kind of question is that? Of course you should go." He looks at me weirdly.

"But what about you Beam? If I go, you will be sleeping alone."

"Duh! I know since 10 years ago, we always stick together, but we already grown ups now, Kit. You already found your mate. You should go. I will be fine."

"Really?" He gives me a nod with a confident facial expression.

Next morning in dinning hall

"My King, Wayo, I'm asking your permission to allow me to take P'Kit to meet my family today." Ming asks the King and Prince.

"Why are you asking my permission to take P'Kit to meet YOUR family, Ming?" Wayo asks Ming. He is sitting on Phana's lap while Phana is feeding him. The monster is really whipped by his mate.

"Baby, both of them are your personal guards. Of course they need your permission to take a few days off." Phana kiss his cheek.

"Oooohh... I understand. Permission granted." Prince Wayo continue munching the food that Phana feeds him.

"Thanks Ai'Stupid Wayo." Ming says sarcastically.

"P'Pha, Ming called me stupid." Prince Wayo whine at Phana with a pout. Phana immediate gives Ming a murderous look that makes Ming shake in his chair. Suddenly, legs of his chair are cut off making Ming falls to the ground making everyone at the table laugh at him. That must be Phana's doing. "Serve you right Ai'Ming." Prince Wayo mock him.

"Thanks my prince for giving us the permission." Ming pick me up from my seat before he himself sits on the seat and put me on his laps.

"N'Kit, how are you feeling? Ready to meet N'Ming's family?" The king asks.

"Honestly, I'm nervous. Don't know if they will like me or not."

"Don't worry P'Kit. My family already know about you. They are excited to meet you." Ming gives me a peck on my cheek, making me blush from the public display of affection.

"Yeah Kit. Don't worry auntie is really nice. She is the one who is making all of our meals in the palace you know?" P'Forth chimes.

"Really? Wow! I need to thank her properly for all meals she has cook for  us."

"Lucky Kitty got to eat delicious food everyday after this." Beam huff.

"I'll ask auntie to pack some for you, Beam, from time to time." That earn me a grin from Beam.

"Kit, I not yet say this to you, but congratulations on finding your mate." Phana gives a smile like a proud father he is.

"Everything thanks to you Pha. Because of you taking a good care of us, we are here now." I stand up and hug Phana. Beam and I really owe our live to Phana. We always grateful that he always there for us. When he found his mate, plus his mate is his long lost crush, we are so happy for him. Finally he got the happiness he deserve.

"Are you ready P'Kit?" Ming asks me while holding my hand firmly. We are now in front of his house. His house is not to big, but not small either. Guess being the palace cook, did earn them quite a lot of money.

"Not really. But I have to. It is now or never." Ming knock the front door and a middle-aged man open up the door.

"Hi dad." Ming wai then hug the man. So he is Ming's dad. He is really tall. Now I know where Ming got his height from.

"Who is this cute guy with you Ming?" He dad asks when he notices Ming is not alone.

"This is my mate, dad. His name is P'Kit." I immediately wai at him.

"Nice to meet you sir"

"I don't like it." Ming and I are shock. I feels like my heart stop beating.

"Why dad?! He is my mate and I love him!"

"He called me sir. He should stop that and start to call me dad." Ming's dad cross his hands. Thanks god! I thought he don't like me as Ming's mate.

"Don't joke like that, dad! You are upsetting P'Kit."

"Sorry N'Kit. But I would really like my son's mate to call me dad." He give me his smile.

"It is okay, si...dad." I wai at him once again. He looks happy and his face light up like a Christmas tree.

"Are you gentlemen just going to stand there all day long?" Then a pretty middle-aged lady comes.

"Hi mom." Ming wai and hug her. "This is P'Kit, my mate." I wai and smile at her.

"Aaww~~~~ He is so cute~~ He even has dimple~~" she pinch both of my cheeks.

"Thanks mam." She pouts.

"No fair. You call him dad, so you should call me mae too."

"Khap mae."

"Enough chit chat, let's come inside Kit." Ming's dad usher use in.

The four of us sit in the living room, getting know each others. When the lunch time just around the corner, mae excuse herself to prepare lunch for us.

"I'll help you mae"

"No need Kit. Just stay there and chat with them."

"I insist mae. Furthermore they are talking about football. I'm not interested."

"Ok if you insist."

"Kit, go call the boys. I'll prepare the table." So I go to the living room only to be greeted with Ming and Dad playing with two kids that look alike.

"Ming, dad, the lunch is ready. Let's come and eat." I call them, still wondering who are those two kids.

"P'Ming, is that your mate that you just told us?" One of the kids asks Ming.

"Yes, he is P'Kit, kiddo." Ming ruffles his hair.

The kids run toward me and cling to my legs, one on each side.

"P'Kit, play with us~~" The one who is clinging to my right says.

"Yes P'Kit. P'Ming is not fun to play with. So play with, na na na...." The other one chimes.

I squad down so that I am on their eye level. "Hhhmm... Ming is not fun to play with right?"  They nod. "Since I also experienced it, sure, I'll play with you guys. But after we have our lunch ok?" They cheer happily.

"May I know your names?"

"I'm Oak." The one on the right says his name.

"I'm Willow." The one on the left says.

"Oak, Willow, let's eat our lunch, so that we will have energy to play later." Then they start to pull me to the dinning room.

After I seat down at the table, the kids immediately take the seats beside me, Oak on my left, Willow on my right.

"Hey! Seat on P'Kit's right in mine, Willow! Get up."

"No, don't want." Willow ignores him.

"Come here Willow, come sit on my lap. Just let that big meanie sit there." Willow immediately get up from his seat and jump on my lap.

"Hey!" Ming tries to complain, but looking at my warning expression, he shut up.
