It has been two weeks since I train Wayo vigorously, and another two weeks before our wedding ceremony. So today, I decided that it will become our rest day.......for our body only. I still need to learn about our kingdom's laws, but I'm not going to suffer alone. I am going to bring Wayo with me to study.
But here is the problem. Currently is 9 a.m. and this prince of mine is still snoring away in dreamland. Since I started training him vigorously, he always wake up late. I have been trying to wake him up since 10 minutes ago, so that we can have our breakfast. But everything is to no avail.
Last resort! "Baby, wake up please. I got you your pink milk with strawberry cream on top." I whisper into his ear.
With the mention of his favourite pink milk, he immediately open his eyes, wide awake. "Where is it? Where?" He looks left and right trying to find his pink milk.
"There is no pink milk, baby." I kiss his forehead. "I had to do that to wake you up." I look at him a guilty look, since I know, he will mad at me for disturbing his sleep, and lied to him about pink milk.
And there is the scowl. "P'PHA!"
I sit on the edge of the bed beside him and pull him into my embrace. "I promise you I will buy it for you after this, ok?" I say trying to coax him.
"Promise?"
"Promise. But let's get up and have our breakfast first. Ok?" He nods and goes to the bathroom.
After having our breakfast, I drag Wayo to meet Elder Nate in the royal library. He of course is not happy. When I told everyone that today training in cancel, they started to plan their outing. Wayo was included, until I told him that we can't go with them because I need to study our kingdom's laws, and he needs to accompany me. He of course refuse at first, but after I promise him to buy another extra pink milk, he agreed.
Knock, knock, knock
"Can we come in Elder Nate?" I peak inside, looking for Elder Nate. After we got the permission from her, we enter the library.
"What can I do for you two?" She asks us.
"P'Pha wants to learn about our kingdom's laws." Wayo tells her with bored expression.
"Aahh. Come this way N'Phana." She guides us through rows of bookshelves. "Here we are. All of this are the written laws of our kingdom. Feel free to start where ever you want." She shows me where are the law books. Heck! That's bloody a lot. Imagine, two big ceiling-to-floor bookshelves, as wide as a goal post, pack with thick books. I bet there is hundreds of them.
"So P'Pha, while you spend your time reading these ancient books that I've already read, what should I do?" He fold his arms and looks at me with a look that says I should give him a nice reason or else.
"Elder Nate," she looks at me. "Is there any enchantment book in here?" Please say you have it!
"Of course. But why do you want it?" She furrows her brows. Even Wayo looks at me expectantly.
"I want Wayo to know more spell." I say as I take one of the many law books.
"Why P'Pha?" I pull his hand towards the study area where there are a few tables and chairs.
"I want you to be prepared. Knowing more spells can give you the upper hand in a battle. Furthermore, I want you to at least know a spell for every possible situations. So you will not be helpless in any kind of situations." He nods.
"Ok. Let's go find the books Elder Nate." He follows Elder Nate back into the maze of the bookshelves. I take my seat and starts to read the law book. Need to start now, if not I will not be able to finish everything.
As I concentrating on my book, suddenly I feel something leaning on my feet. "Baby, why are you not sitting on a chair?"
He takes my hand, and place it on his head. "Because I want to feel you, P'Pha." Aaww~~ this prince of mine is so cute right now.
So I just let him sits on the floor, leaning against my leg while reading his book. As for me, as I read my book, one hand is on top of Wayo's head. Constantly combing through his hair. Somehow I really like our situation right now. It makes me feel at ease, feeling Wayo by my side.
At lunch, we decide to take a break for a while to fill our stomach. Since I already promise Wayo that I will buy him two cups of pink milk, I decide we will eat out for lunch. So using my shadow travel ability, I teleport us to the town. I take him to the sushi restaurant. He is so happy that he is jumping and dancing around me. I just chuckle looking at his behaviour. But I know, as long as he is with me, I can do anything, including reading all of the law books in the library.
