"Pha.... Pha....." I really can't say it. Deep in my heart, I keep wishing this is all just a dream. I don't care even if when I wake up, Forth is just a part of that dream. As long as Pha didn't do what ge did!
"P'Pha what, P'Beam?!" Wayo shakes me hard. Seeing him crying only make it harder for me to say it. If he knows, he surely will force us to go back to Pha.
"Beam, tell us what is wrong with Pha. Last time, he obliterate Goa's tank ship like it is just a play toy. So why now he can't?" Forth try to slow talk to me so that I will open up.
Me and Kit look at each other. He then reluctantly give me a nod, ushering me to tell the what is happening to Pha.
"Pha... he... he is using something that we call as "overdrive mode". It is a state when Pha unleashes his full power."
"Then that's great right?" Ming asks hesitantly, knowing there must be more to it.
"It is great. But, not for long. There is a time limit to it. If he passes that time limit, his core will consume him, making him lost control of himself and he will go berserk untill he run out of core aura." By now I can't hold back my tears anymore. "That's why he never use it."
"N'Beam, if he never use it, how come do you guys know about it?" Elder Nate asks.
"We witnessed him using it once, 10 years ago. When we were running away from the Goa armies, there were a few who manage to catch up to us. We were still weak back then. But Pha, tried his hardest to protect us. Just before we reach the refuges centre's perimeter, a Goa soldier stop us in our track. Pha was dead tired at that time, me and Kit were basically useless. We can't even move a single muscles every time we came a cross a Goa soldier. But Pha, he never gave up. That was the first and the only time we saw him went into overdrive. He was so scary that time. He can't even recognize who were the enemy and who were friends. After he managed to kill the Goa soldier, he turned to us, ready to kill us. But we were lucky, his body was so tired and weak, that he fainted just before he manage to hurt us. There was barely any core aura left inside of him." I can't continue the story anymore. It hurts so bad remembering all those sad memories.
So Kit continues as he still flying the wind sphere. "But he did told us, not too long ago. He said he already manage to control the overdrive mode. But still he got time limit before his core takes over him."
"But he is insanely strong! Why does he need to use that overdrive mode?!" Wayo asks us desperately.
Kit answers him. "Have you ever wonder why no attack, except from holy element can harm him?" Everyone shake their head no. "His black core grand him the ability to absorb all those attacks, nullifying them at once. He can also 'absorb' pain away from other people. So just now, I bet he absorbed all of the poison from everyone and the poison took effect on him." One can see how frustrated Kit is. Me too. All this long, we trained so hard hoping that we will not be so useless and become a burden for Pha, but now it looks like once again, we are not able to help him!
Everyone is speechless until Wayo once again begs us desperately to turn back to save Pha. "Please P'kit, P'Beam! I can help him! I really can!"
Me and Kit look at each other, figuring out what we should do. Debating whether to bet on Wayo to save Pha, or to follow the possibly Pha's last order.
Phana POV
'Thanks Beam, Kit. I owe you one. If this is my last stand, I don't want Wayo to see it. It will be a permanent scar for him if he see me dying.'
"You should run with your friends, you know. Then maybe you will get to live for a few more minutes before we kill you and your friends. " King Peraya mocks me as his men keep pouring in into the backyard. There are about 100 of them, and still counting. Looks like, he really comes to kill this time.
"Don't misunderstand my reason. The reason why I asked them to run is because I don't want them to see me kill you mercilessly." I mock him back. That's is partially true. But the main reason is because I don't want to hurt them unintentionally if I ever go berserk in my overdrive mode. If not because of the poison, I don't need to use my overdrive mode. But it looks like the poison she used to poison the others earlier is quite lethal. And the only way for me to save everybody is to absorb all of the poison on their behalf. Due to that, my body is getting numb. That's why I use my overdrive mode. I need to finish them off before I completely succumb to the poison.
"Enough of the big talk. We will see who kill who. Men! Kill him! Show him no mercy!" He commands his men.
His men charge toward me with killing intent. Some transform into feral beasts, some shooting elemental balls, some charge towards me with swords. But no matter how strong they coming at me, they are just small fries to me. I just slash them away. Sending slash after slash of dark aura. But the numbers are to many and the poison in my body is getting worse as time goes by. I have no doubt, even in my overdrive mode, they will overwhelm me soon. Furthermore, my overdrive mode is at its limit. If the fight continues on, I will lose myself. Hence, I dissolve my sword and change my stance. I concentrate all of my dark aura between my two palms. The aura is so intense that all of the intruders stop momentarily and you can see they are shaking and some of them even fall on their knees, overwhelm by the power. They are now realize that they stand no chance against me.
"Everyone, use your full power! He is going to use a strong attack! Eliminate him before he can use it!" There is panic in King Peraya's voice. King Peraya voice manage to snap them out from their trance, but it gives the opposite result. Instead of coming at me, they start to run for their live.
"Hey! Get back here everyone! We need to kill him! We need to revenge Prince Suthee's Death!" Pring tries to make them turn back to fight me, but it is futile. No one listen to them. They are more concern with their live now.
Now or never. "Begone scums." I blast them away with a strong dark blast. Even the palace is completely destroyed by the blast. Sorry dad. You need to build a new palace after this.

After that huge attack, I am barely manage to stand. I check whether there is still enemy left, but luckily there is none. The backyard is now full of blacken dead bodies of the enemy. My eyes are getting blurry, but I try to focus, looking for the bodies of King Peraya and Pring. They are the person I must kill to make sure Wayo is safe. Luckily I spot their dead body at the entrance of the backyard. I bet they tried to run away too. But to bad, they are too late.
I fall on my knees. My body is getting heavy. My sight is getting blurry. And it is getting harder for me to breath. "Sorry, baby. Looks like I can't be with you forever. I love you, Wayo." I fall face down on the ground.
