You had gotten through security safely, your dad being "Randomly" selected at security. It was no surprise; he was speaking in Russian and was heavily tattooed, combine that with a long ponytail and he was the prefect recipe for being stopped.
He was still ranting about it in Russian when you get onto the plane. You gave short, one word answers as you entered the plane. You had been on planes before, but the fact that your best friend who you had never seen in real life was waiting for you on the other side made you more nervous. Your dad had noticed for one, and placed a comforting hand over yours. You weakly smiled at him, gasping as the plane shuddered to a start. Your dad always allowed you to have the window seat because he enjoyed the pure look of happiness on your face.
"Tell me about Peter" He said, looking as your head snapped round
"He's nice. He's my best friend" You responded, and he nodded, turning in his seat to find a resting position. It was a night flight, so the lights in the cabin dimmed and you closed your eyes in relaxation, listening to "Break The Distance" by Ashton Edminster.
It was a powerful song that described what was going to happen in a few hours, and it filled you with excitement while you were still trying to get to bed. It was clear that it wasn't going to happen, so you scrolled through a story on Wattpad. The twist really shocked you, and you were glad you downloaded it. It was called 'Elysian', and you remembered to vote on it when you were back online ;). After finishing that book, and feeling slightly emotionally drained, you just decided to read a fluff imagine book for an actor who you found cute. The cover alone was almost professional, and you took a moment to appreciate the talent of some people in the Quackson fan base.
After an hour or two, you finished that book too. You had forgotten to sync your library before leaving England, so half of the stories you couldn't access, which disappointed you greatly.
"Y/n! We're about to land" Your dad shook you awake, looking rather tired and jet lagged himself. You eagerly (but still groggily) looked out the window, seeing the tall looming buildings that made New York so different to England, and basically everywhere except from main cities. It was early morning, and you felt as if it was much later. You shrugged off the jet lag, still in disbelief at the suddenness of it all. Your life had changed dramatically for the better.
You couldn't wait to post to tumblr when you got off, revealing that you were about to meet Peter. The funny thing is, as you and Peter became closer friends, your audience had expanded to a group of supportive people who you both considered friends; people just love to see others happy.
You had come to a stop, and people were starting to get off the plane, which was a surprise because in England there was usually some kind of delay. The nerves built up again, but you pushed them deep down and walked off of the plane. You texted Peter to confirm that you had landed safely, to his excitement and anticipation.
Your luggage was no where. It wasn't on the conveyor belt yet, and you were stressing out. The one thing keeping you from Peter was your own clothes and other items. You sighed as your dad got his luggage, and came to stand by you. Finally, you saw the flash of f/c going round, and your suitcase finally showed up. You sighed a sigh of relief before practically thrusting your suitcase to your dad and running through the airport to get to him.
You had stopped short, turning around to realise that you had lost your dad in the sea of people. You ran back to get him, wanting him to film it for Tumblr and for memories. He was fine, you were sure of it. You scanned the large room for him, and started jogging when you saw him come out of the crowd of people.
"Tsvetok, don't run off like that!" Your father scolded, and you smiled innocently
"Sorry! Can you take a video?" You asked happily as he complied, taking your small phone is his giant hands. You smiled at the phone.
