You were sat around the Parker's dinner table, making small conversation every now and then, but Ned was quiet, eating his Pasta silently.

May was talking about her day, as Peter tried to keep his entire focus on her. You listened too, invested so much in what she was saying.

May, although not knowing her for long, had an amazing talent for making anything interesting. You had to admit, Peter had made a big deal about her cooking-she could make a mean pasta bake.

"Thanks for dinner, May" You said.

"I wasn't about to let you guys go hungry" She smiled, which made all of you smile lightly.

"Oh, jeez-I should probably start heading home soon!" You exclaimed, looking at your watch, seeing the time.

"I'll take you home of you like-" Peter started.

"Y/n lives close to my block, it's only like-a five minute walk away from my apartment, we can go home together-if that's ok, Y/n" Ned spoke up, looking towards you, where you were nodding.

"Yeah, that's great" You smiled, going to pick up your plate.

"Let me do that, Y/n!" May said, but you shook your head.

"No, no! It's fine, you cooked, I can carry my bowl to the sink!" You insisted, and she repositioned herself in her seat.

"I wish someone I knew did that" She smirked, looking at Peter, who had swivelled his head round.

"Hey! Y/n, you're making me look bad!" He whisper yelled jokingly, which made May and you laugh, while Ned chuckled.

"Peter, Y/n's going to be May's favourite soon!" Ned joked.

"She already is!" May teased Pete, before pinching his cheeks and hugging him, when he started squirming out her her grip in protest, not facing her in a mock annoyance.

"Go get a hug off of Y/n! She's your favourite!" He said, and she rolled her eyes, messing up his hair and pinching his cheeks one more time, because she knew how much he hated it.

Ned had taken you home, and it got to the point where you two didn't actually want to part ways. He has told you so many stories about your new high school that it had completely relaxed your nerves. You two had gotten on like a house on fire, which had made Ned so incredibly happy, and you felt the same way.

He had officially knighted you as co-best friend, as he told you no-one could ever take Peters place as best friend, unless Peter did something completely terrible.

"See you tomorrow, Ned" You waved to him as you got into the lobby.

"Bye! Make sure you're at locker 134 by 8:30!" He reminded you, and you nodded, waving one last time before deciding to be lazy and take the lift. It was empty when you entered the lift, but a lady got on on the second floor, and pressed the up button.

You thought nothing of it, until it got to your stop and she got out. You became slightly suspicious, but acted calm and collected as you walked to the door of your apartment.

She immediately stopped as she saw you enter, looking focused. You practically broke down your door, closing it shut quickly before she could advance any further.

"Where have you been?!" Your dad angrily spoke, making you jump back. If he got angry, you never wanted to be in a room with him.

"I had dinner at Peter's. I sent you a text!" You replied dismissively.

"That's not an excuse, Y/n! Go to your room!" He yelled in a blinded rage. You gladly complied, wanting to sleep and forget about the small confrontation you had just had with your main care giver.
