The very next day, Stark was arriving at the Barton residence. It'd be the first time he'd seen everyone since you were all broken out by his ex-best friend/co worker.

Another jet landed, but of course this one was state of the art, and much more high tech than the one Peter had flown in on. No one had been told about his arrival, which on Peters part was a bad idea. Superheros are naturally paranoid, so when you add a military level jet landing right in front of their safe house, things don't go to plan.

And naturally, Tony had decided to don the Iron Man armour.

You had come to your senses around 11 in the morning, hearing the faint panic of voices below you. You got dress, not bothering to get dressed up or even brush your tangled hair, and headed down the rickety stairs that Clint had been promising to fix over the past few days. Laura knew it was never going to happen, and was constantly teasing him about it.

The jet was in the distance when you reached the living room. Natasha (who had arrived a few days after you guys), Steve, Sam, Clint and Wanda were all gathered in the living room, deciding whether to gear up in case it was some kind of military personell looking for them.

"Gu-guys? Um-I kinda..." Peter stuttered, trying to tell the gods in front of him that he told their enemy the location.

"What, bug boy?" Sam said; his nickname for Peter was sometimes cute and sometimes teasing.

"I told Mr Stark we were here-he wanted to know if Y/n-" Peter said, but had been pinned against a wall by Clint.

"You led Tony Stark to my family, Parker?" He menaced, and Peter guiltily nodded, while looking scared for his life. Sure, Clint was no Hulk, but he was still an Avenger, which was much more than Peter could take on.

"Clint, let him go, please!" You begged the older man, but he shook his head, infuriated with what Peter had done. You could understand slightly, but you didn't see the point of violence.

"Clint" Natasha warned in a stern tone. Clint seemed to toy with the idea of dropping Peter.

"Stand down" Steve ordered, but Clint didn't listen, and raised his fist and slammed it down. Or he would've, if you hadn't caught his hand with your powers and forced him to lower it, while Wanda helped.

"Clint, he's fifteen." Wanda protested, before a loud crash came from outside the house. You all walked towards the source, guards raised. All except from Peter, who was clutching his shoulder from where it was slammed into the wall. He also knew who was coming, and wasn't going to fight him. You, however, had a bone to pick with Stark. He loved you when you hadn't been accused, but when you had been he suddenly became 'Mr. Right' and treated you like a thing.

The door swang open and Steve walked out, shield raised and guard higher than your grades. You were behind him, with Sam next to you while Natasha, Clint and Wanda were behind you, all three of them tense as ever, with Natasha still trying to calm Clint down.

Standing with his face plate open was Tony.

"Oh look, it's the Characters of The Shawshank Redemption! What a surprise!" Tony said, his sass clear as ever.

"Tony, you know I didn't try and blow up Mr. Penney's shop. I was saving it." You spat at your former idol.

"I think you hurt his feelings, though. He loved you, Y/n, how could you?" He asked, and you shook your head

"That's enough. Why're you here, Stark?" Steve said, trying to calm the tension.

"Little Miss Explosives said something about someone that I need to know. Clear?" He nonchalantly said

"As Glass" Wanda said sarcastically

"I'd go for as clear as cloudy lemonade but whatever" Scott said, walking through the hallway. He had just woken up, it was clear from the sleep he hadn't had hanging under his eyes, and the stubble that had formed on his chin.

"Sorry, who's this?" Tony asked, pointing an acuisitory finger at Scott

"A better friend than you, that's for damn sure" Sam chimed in, his arms crossed

"Sorry, which one of us dropped a friend out of the sky and paralysed him?" Tony said, turning his back to Sam. You quickly grabbed Sam's hand, trying to calm him down. As much as Sam hated to admit it, he obviously had a great deal of PTSD from when he served. Rhodey falling out of the sky reminded him of Riley, who had died after being shot at with an RPG. It was one of his triggers you had noticed from the prison. Anyone who had murdered using an RPG was immediately hated by Sam.

"You don't know the half of what I've been through, rich boy" Sam grimaced

"Look, instead of fighting everyone here, why don't you just do what you gotta do so you can get out of here quicker." Natasha reasoned, and Tony agreed eventually. He invited himself in, where you had realised that Laura had left with the kids. She was a smart woman, she obviously knew some sort of conflict was coming.

He walked straight upstairs, bursting into your room. The rest of the team left, leaving you with him. Peter was sat on your bed, flopped like an upturned turtle.

"Mr. Parker, can you leave me and Y/n alone please?" Tony asked, and Peter nodded, getting up from the bed and quickly brushing his hand against yours in a comforting manner.

"So, tell me about this dream" He said, patting the space next to him on the bed. You cautiously sat on the bed next to him, trying to get into his head, almost.

"Not a dream. I was awake when it happened. The stone-" You began, cracking your knuckles

"you?"

"What do you mean?" You questioned him

"Do you consider the stone as a part of you?" He asked, completely changing the topic from what he came to question you on.

"Yes and no. Yes, the stone is inside me, it's a physical and mental part of my life. No, it's not me. I have to live with it being inside me-"

"A parasite?" He asked, and you nodded

"Yeah. But it helps me, with a price. It's me, but it's not all of me." You explained.

"What did it show you?" Tony asked, and you sighed, trying to find the words to explain what you felt in that moment.

"Nothingness. How empty the world was when someone-Thanos, was done with it. He killed half of this alien planet to save the other half. I could feel their pain and stuff. It's happened before, but this time...it was more powerful. He's either stronger or closer." You said, putting your head in your hands.

Tony didn't speak for ages. He just sat next to you on the bed, in an uncomfortable silence.

"Y/n, he's been in my head for 6 years. Ever since New York. Now, he's in yours, which means trouble." Tony said, his face showing his true concern.

"We won't stop him. We'll die trying." You confidently said, dread lacing your tongue like poison.

"We'll die together, then." Steve said, opening the door. "Sorry to interrupt" He apologised

"No problem, I was just going to leave" Tony said, getting up to leave.

"How about no?" You asked, forcefully shutting the door with your powers. Tony and Steve sighed, both crossing their arms against their chests.

"Y/n, lets not do this" Steve said, trying to be an authoritative figure

"No, lets do this. You two are being children." You said, opening the door you had just closed using your powers.

"Pete? Come help me with the kids, please?" You yelled down, and Peter yelled back saying he was coming up.

"Well, that's foreshadowing." Tony whispered, earning a smirk from Steve. It was the first civil interaction the two of them had shared since the Sokovia Accords situation.
