You were having a tour around the Avengers compound, as Natasha had decided to leave early. Stark explained that she turned against them at the airport, assisting Captain Rodgers and letting him escape. She planned to run away with the rest of them, but got caught and taken back to the compound, where she was told to go on the run. Tony figured he couldn't harbour a fugitive for more than a few weeks.

Peter hasn't spoken to you since the Protector Stone reveal, as he was still in shock. He met you online, and for the first few days, you were normal. Then, you were an assassin that was highly trained, and then, you were a literal Infinity stone. It was all too much for the web slinger, who was trailing behind you and Tony in shock.

"And here's your suit!" Tony said to Y/n, revealing a black suit, that looked like a homage to Spiderman. It was black with slightly more diamond shaped eyes.

"My suit?" You asked, in confusion.

"You wanna make Shadows name, you don't want her to be known as 'punch punch stab' girl, do you?" Tony said, and you shook your head.

"That's her legacy, not mine. Where's the lab? I'll make my own" You proudly said, before Tony sighed, grumbling about teenagers.

He eventually took you to the lab, where Peter still didn't say anything to you. You became worried-why was Peter acting so strange?

You ignored Peter so you could work with Mr. Stark. You had suggested all the designs that you wanted, hoping it would correlate around the colour of the Infinity Stone you possessed.

After a good few hours of working, and Peter getting changed out of his suit, swinging from a rope swing he had made with web shooters, it was almost complete. You had never been prouder of a design, and it looked amazing as well as practical.

Unlike Peter's, your suit came in a few parts. You had your thigh-high boots, where one actually came down to your knee and not your thigh, and then the main suit piece. Your dad had an old golden sword tucked away somewhere, so you figured that you would go back to the house and make some modifications with that one, so it was easier to store.

After all, he never used it since you left Russia.

Peter was walking you to his house, as he practically begged you to stay for at least one night. It was a Friday night, so you didn't have to get up and go to school the next day, luckily.

"Y/n?"

"Yeah, Pete?"

"Why didn't you tell me?" Peter asked, making you slightly uncomfortable and scared to answer. You were both lying on top of Peters building, watching the stars. The stars were shining bright, perfectly showing Peter's face and curls.

"I wanted to enjoy being normal. I've always been told I'm different, and I didn't want you to see me as different too." You sighed, turning to face Peter as you lay on your side.

"I see you as you" Peter said, facing you as well.

"Do you see me any differently?" You asked, slightly self-conscious.

"Did you see me differently?" He asked, turning the question on you.

"No. I always knew you were hiding something. Your cover stories didn't help either" You joked.

"I wasn't expecting you to call me in the middle of a fight!" He defended, and you laughed

"But still, 'Aunt May's cooking'?"

"It was the best I could do! My brains were almost on the sidewalk!" Peter protested, and you giggled, pushing him lightly on the shoulder.

"Sidewalk" You laughed, smiling at him with adoration.

"What the hell am I supposed to call it?" He softly asked, chuckling

"We call it Pavement"

"Well that makes no sense"

"Neither does 'Sidewalk'!" You laughed.

"Yeah it does-you walk on the side of the road!" Peter laughed at your confusion, as you realised that it actually made a lot more sense to be called Sidewalk.

"I like these conversations" You smiled, and Peter nodded, sitting up so he could dangle his legs off the side of the building. You sat up too, sitting next to him.

"Hey-check this out!" Peter suddenly said, getting up and ready to do something.

"What?" You asked, but before he could protest Peter had jumped off the side of the building, causing you to yelp in surprise.

"Oh my god! Peter!" You yelled, about to use your powers. If you used them too much, it sent your brain into overdrive, which would most likely kill you. You decided to not chance it, hoping Spider-Man of all people, to be able to make a quick recovery.

"Hey, down here!" Peter exclaimed, and you peered over the edge. He was stuck to a wall horizontally, and you reminded yourself to slap him once he was on sturdy ground again.

"You dick"

"I know" Peter grinned "the only problem is that I can't get back up"

"Peter!" You reprimanded, deciding to use your powers. You twisted your fingers, trying to concentrate. He slowly started to move, starting to hover above the ground.

You tried to set him down without causing any damage, but the landing was more of a drop than you expected. He landed un-gracefully, causing him to let out a surprised scream.

"Oh my gosh-are you alright?!" You quickly asked, rushing to help him up.

"I'm fine, don't worry about it" Peter insisted, still holding onto you even though you were both standing. You were staring into each other's eyes, lost in the moment.

An explosion caused you both to look to the source, and you quickly noticed how close it was to your side of town.

"We need to go, Pete. Get our suits and go" You said, climbing down the fire escape and grabbing the small gold and white suit. You went to the bathroom and pulled on the main suit piece before the boots and mask that accompanied it. You quickly walked out, seeing Peter quickly finish pulling the loose suit up his body. He tapped the button on his suit, making it skin tight.

"You good?" You asked, before seeing him nod and run to the window. He leapt straight out of the window, but you paused, taking quick breaths. You were urged to breath, but there was a worry. If you stepped out of that window, you had signed your life to be a so-called hero.

The thought terrified you; you spent your life being a villain, were you ready to turn over a leaf? The thoughts whirred around in your brain, before taking a leap out of the window, using your abilities to make you fly. The thoughts and doubts you were having were gone in a matter of seconds. You could hear the gasps from civilians as you caught up to Spiderman. You grinned at him, even though your now gold eyes were the only way you could show it.

You felt free, but you knew there were people suffering. You could feel people begging in their final moments-and you knew it was from the explosion.

You were supposed to protect them, so you practically willed your body to speed up, reaching your destination quicker than Peter.
