Luckily, the explosion hadn't been inside the set of apartments, but it was suspicious. The explosion was outside of the building, which meant it spread to the familiar place.

You decided to run in, hoping you could get to everyone in time. You spotted an old neighbour of yours, coughing and grabbing a baby. You carefully used your powers to hold them, taking them out of the nearest window and safely to the ground.

The man started crying hysterically, holding his baby. He cried, saying that his partner was still in their. You knew the man he was talking about; he had often spotted you in the corridor and made conversation. With determination filling your body, you went back into the fire, fearing the heat burn your body.

You didn't care, you needed to get the man back with his husband and child.

"Help! Please! My leg!" A man wailed, and you followed the voice to the person you recognised. You didn't say anything, hoping that he couldn't recognise you. Using your powers to lift the clump of building that had fallen on his leg, he clambered out, trying to run to you, but failing.

You lifted him into the air, trying to block out the suffering of the people near ringing in your ears as they reached their final moments.

You carefully helped him down, sparing a glance to see the family reunite and hold each other close.

Dashing inside once more, you this time saw a girl. She was crying, holding her two siblings. You grabbed them in your arms, quickly taking them down the ladder. The girl was no older than 8, but she was screaming for dear life.

"My brother! Where's my brother?!" She asked you, and you gave a panicked look back to the building. As soon as you prepare to search for the boy, Spiderman came out of the building, holding a boy around your age. He quickly let go of Spiderman, holding his three younger siblings tight.

You couldn't feel any suffering from inside the building. There was no one in there. If they were-they weren't suffering or feeling like their dreams were dying.

The sirens from ambulances and fire engines were becoming piercing. The blaze became too much to handle, and you feared that it was about to blow up.

"Oh my god-she's still in there!" A woman screamed, making your blood run cold. Why wasn't she suffering? As far as you could see, the woman looked calm. She wasn't crying, or screaming in pain. Her features were familiar-and then it struck you like a ton of bricks.

It was the woman who had been on the second attack against Peter.
-Flashback-
"Don't, Parker" You coldly said, making the atmosphere drop as Ned coughed loudly next to you. A few minutes had passed, and Peter was now fighting a robber, and returning a purse to a lady. The lady thanked him, before walking off. Something didn't seem right, so you got up Ned's spare laptop.

"Ned can you hack into the CCTV for me?" You asked, and Ned nodded, reaching over and quickly typing in a code, so you had access to the CCTV systems of New York; more importantly Queens. You got to the place where the lady had been, replaying the footage and looking at her closely. As soon as she thanked Spiderman, her persona switched, and she muttered into a phone. The man who had stolen the purse was webbed up, but through the webbing you could see the two fingered tap he gave on his thigh three times. As he did this the homeless man beside him stood up, walking over to Peter and asking for directions. Spiderman told him where to go, and the man patted him on the back, leaving a tracker.
-End-
You didn't care how evil this woman could be-she was not dying on your watch. You quickly used your powers to grab her out of the building, feeling her struggle against your powers.

It was almost crystal clear that she had been told to set the explosion. After she had failed to kill Peter, she was order by someone to burn down the building. It meant something.
