Keith wasn't sure if Lance flew to Cuba or not and he also wasn't sure if it was worth trying to find him again.
After all, Lance broke up with him. It wasn't like they would be able to ever get back together, especially with all the problems Lance had about his family, but Keith still thought of and cared about Lance.
Lance wasn't any different. He moved out of Sendak and went to Cuba, but his life was miserable. His grandparents constantly belittled him and spoke poorly about his sexuality and of Keith.
His mother was aware, but didn't know how to intervene. Lance never blamed her for this, even when he ran away, because she was the one who supported him throughout all of his 19 years.
He got a job and saved up just enough to fly back to where he called home. He wasn't sure why he wanted to return or why he was still so fixated on Keith.
All he knew was that he needed answers.
