Hannah felt a tickling in her nose. She rolled over in her bed and tried to ignore it. But it kept on getting stronger and stronger. Finally she sneezed and a gigantic gust of wind shacked the room. Some rock from the walls crumbled to the floor. The paintings fell with a mighty crass and the windows shattered, as splinters of glass flew everywhere. A small fire started from the wooden floorboards in the corner of the room. Hannah screamed.
Her scream filled the whole house as everyone came rushing into her room to see the destruction themselves. Hannah started to cry.
"I did this." She sobbed crying into her mothers arms. As Hayley stroked her hair, comforting her.
"This is getting too dangerous." Freya stated, "If we don't start her training now then who knows what will happen if we leave it any longer!" Freya handed Hannah a small glass bottle filled with misty coloured liquid. "Drink this, it will put you into a deep sleep until we work out how to sort this." Hannah took the bottle from her hand and quickly downed the contents. Within a few seconds she started to feel drowsy and her eyelids began to close. A few minutes later she fell into a deep sleep.

Hannah woke up in the courtyard. The seating area was replaced with a table with four large bowls on it. Hazel stood next to them eyeing her carefully.
"How are you feeling?" She furrowed her brows.
"Fine, just a bit dizzy." Hannah rubbed her head.
"Don't worry. Side effects of the potion, it should wear off soon." Hazel looked at her for a moment before continuing. "So, we haven't come up with a permanent solution for controlling your powers, but we may have found a way to teach you to channel them." She nodded at the bowls.
"Where is everyone?" Hannah asked looking around. The courtyard was completely empty and deadly silent. Hannah wasn't sure that she liked it this way. It was a bit creepy.
"A safe distance away." Hazel nodded. "Just in case something goes wrong."
"But why are you here?" Hannah asked standing up. "Surely your in danger too?" She reached towards Hazel, but instead of her hand touching her arm, it went right through her. She gasped.
"I'm not." Hazel answered moving away. "I'm a projection cast by Hope, I'm actually with them all now." She smiled. Hannah returned it worryingly, this is all getting a bit too weird.
"So what do I have to do?"
"Each bowl contains one of the four elements that you have the influence of." Hazel pointed at the bowls again. "Theoretically, if you can bind all four elements together. You should have total control over them." Hannah went over to the bowls. She hovered her hands over them. She felt nothing.
"What am I supposed to do?" She asked, "I can't do this!" She sighed tears brimming in her eyes. "I'll never have control." Hazel knelt down next to Hannah.
"How did you do the fire spell with Aunt Freya?" Hannah looked up at her. "Think about how you did it, use your mind to bend them. Not your body." Hazel finished and took a step back as Hannah walked towards the bowls once more. She closed her eyes and pictured each element rising from the bowls and joining together. There was a flash of blue light and Hannah opened her eyes.
There was a black stone on the table, shiny like marble and smooth. Hannah could feel the energy seeping out of it. She picked it up. It was the size of a penny and warm to the touch.
"If you wear this around your neck, you will have control over the elements. It keeps you and many others safe, so don't take it off." Hazel smiled calmly.
"Okay," Hannah whispered as she picked up the silver chain next to the bowls on the table. She attached the stone to it and put it around her neck. She shivered as the chain was cold to the touch.
"Now, hurry up." Hazel exclaimed. "We're at St Anne's Church, meet us there. Be quick." She sighed, "The dangers not over yet."
*******
Even before Hannah entered the church she could sense the violence unfolding inside. She couldn't explain how, she just knew something was off. Upon hearing the shouts of fighting, she rushed inside and banged open the big double doors.
Light rushed in displaying the chaos unfolding. One of the stained glass windows was broken, smashed from the outside. The pews were destroyed as they were thrown across the room. The church smelt of a gruesome mixture of blood and rotten eggs. Hannah gagged. Men in black clothing were tirelessly fighting her family. One man was pinned against a wall with a golden candlestick piercing his heart.
Hannah could see her family winning the fight, but it was horrific. Their faces were monstrous. Their eyes black and hollow. Dark red veins snaking down from them. The hunger and menace in their expressions terrified her as she saw them rip apart the mens bodies with their teeth, and thrust their hands into their chests to rip out their hearts. Hannah was frozen in shock.
She knew she had to stop it. She couldn't watch this any longer. Without thinking she raised her hand, closed her eyes and her hand into a fist. An earthquake shook the room. A large crack appeared down the centre of the church, trapping the men in black clothing inside.
Her family looked at her in shock. Watching the destruction that she had just caused. Seeing the look on her face Hayley stepped forward.
"Hannah-"
"No." Hannah stopped her, turning away, tears in her eyes. "You're all monsters! Stay away from me!" She cried as she sprinted out of the church. She wasn't looking where she was going as she bumped into someone. "Sorry." She whispered.
"No apologies needed darling." Hannah went still. Slowly she looked up and saw exactly who she thought she'd never see again. Carlos.
