Hannah was standing in a small square room. In the room there was a table, upon which stood rows of boxes, small with tiny red handles on the lids. Hannah walked slowly around the table as one by one each member of her family appeared beside her.

Elijah gulped as he looked down at the table. He had a strong sense of deja vu and knew exactly what was going to happen in this room. Hayley looked at him with sad eyes. She also remembered vividly what happened last time she delved into someone's mind. It nearly ended their relationship. Freya walked towards Hannah a curious look in her eye.

"How did you know how to do this?" She asked questionably, raising an eyebrow.

"Whilst I was in Carlos' control I was given access to your memories." Hannah sighed. "He meant for it to scare me, to turn me against you, seeing all the horrors and atrocities you have committed for the sake of family." She looked up. "He was wrong. Instead it showed me how strong and brave you all are. How you would go to any lengths to protect those you love, and avenge those who were killed by your vast number of enemies. Many of whom are far more evil and monstrous than yourselves."

Hannah smiled as she looked to Elijah. "It also showed me the past difficulties and obstacles you have faced. Including the Hollow which I know effected you greatly, Dad." Elijah smiled with tears brimming in his eyes as she recognised him for the first time as her father.

"I saw how they saved you and I realised that this must be how to contact Hazel, if there was any hope." She frowned looking down at the boxes. She looked up at her families faces and smiled.

"So... who wants to go first?"

Hayley stood forward in front of the table. Her hand hovering over all the boxes before she exhaled and dropped her hand onto a box. She smiled at Hannah before she slowly lifted the lid off the top.

Hayley blinked open her eyes. She was back in the courtyard. The sun was shining from above lighting up the ground in a warm glow. A faint giggling was heard behind her. She glanced behind and saw a young girl dancing around the columns of the balcony. Her long curly hair bouncing down her back. She stopped and smiled as she saw Hayley.

"Mommy!" She screamed in excitement. She ran towards Hayley and wrapped her arms around her in a warm embrace.

"Hazel?" Hayley whispered looking in the young girls eyes. The girl giggled and shook her head as she slowly dissolved into nothing. Hayley's hands passed through her like mist. She started to panic as her daughter disappeared in front of her.

"Hazel!!!" Hayley screamed as she looked at everyone's faces. "What happened?" She asked looking to Elijah.

"It didn't work." He sighed looking to the floor. "I'll go next." He walked forward placing a hand on Hayley's shoulder giving her a small smile as he did so. He reached to table and glanced over the boxes. He pondered for a moment before picking a box and lifting the lid with ease.

Elijah found himself in the nursery looking over his twin baby daughters. They both shared the same old cot that Hope once slept in a long while ago. One girl was sleeping tucked up in a small blanket curled around her tiny fingers. Elijah smiled as he traced the outline of her hand with the tip of his finger.

"Hannah." He whispered.

He looked over to the other baby. Her eyes were open and sparkling a glistening green. She was giggling as she gazed at her father, waving her hands at him laughing as he disappeared and reappeared behind her fingers. Elijah reached down to pick her up but his hands fell through the cot. He shook his head in confusion.

"No no no no no." He raised his hands in frustration as the memory whisked away before his eyes.

"NO!!!" Elijah shouted as his hands collided with the table in a mighty bang. He breathed heavily as he looked to Hayley, tears brimming in his eyes. Hayley took his hand and pulled him into a tight embrace.

"I know, I know." She cooed.

Hannah looked to her parent with sad eyes. They were running out of time, they were losing her. She glanced down to the table and took a deep breath. She had to do something and act fast. She looked at the boxes and saw one with a black handle, different from the rest. She looked around the room and saw Klaus' eyes watching her. He nodded slowly and Hannah returned it. She looked back down to the boxes and with a final breath quickly lifted the box with the black handle.

Hannah was hovering above the courtyard. It was as if she was watching the scene from a movie, disconnected from the events occurring before her. The courtyard was silent and empty, it was nighttime and everyone was sleeping.

Suddenly a loud bang erupted and the doors of the compound were blown inwards as clouds of dust flooded the courtyard below. Vampires flooded inwards, their eyes black with dark veins slithering down their monstrously contorted faces. They hissed with rage as they sped around the courtyard. Loud shouts were heard as the sleeping occupants were abruptly awoken and thrown into battle.

Blood and bodies were thrown everywhere as Klaus and Elijah came into view, fighting with all their might, causing lots of damage but were still outnumbered. Finally all eight of the Mikealsons were cornered in a circle, they were losing. Hannah banged against the invisible barrier in front of her, they were going to die.

Hannah gasped as Hazel raised her arms, tears cascading down her cheeks. Hannah screamed as Hazel dropped her arms immediately killing all the vampires. Their lifeless bodies collapsed to the floor.

Hannah felt herself drift down until she stood in front of Hazel. Everyone disappeared around them until they were staring into each other's eyes. Hazel's were glowing yellow as she panted with exhaustion. She burst into tears as she fell into Hannah's arms.

"What have I done?" She stammered into Hannah's shoulder.

"Shhh you're fine, you're okay, I'm here now, I'm here." Hannah hugged her dearly, crying as well. "This isn't real, okay." She took her by the shoulder's and looked intently into her eyes. "This is a memory, an illusion inside your head. We need to get back to everyone okay, can you do this for me?" Hazel nodded in response.

"This isn't real, this isn't real..." Hazel murmured and the room slowly dissolved into nothing in front of their eyes.

"You did it."
