You were writing in
permanent ink
but now I've turned the page
and we're writing a new story
that has a much
better ending.But sometimes the ink
bleeds through and
it's hard to read our words
so it's even harder to
keep writing new ones. But after this page,
stained and mottled,
is another new page
and another
and another. And even if the ink
keeps staining through
for a little while,
eventually we'll find a page
that's fresh and clean,
to fill with no one's
story but our own.
