than wildflowers,
growing as fast and
as free as they dare,
like barefoot girls
dancing in rainstorms
the water pounds them
but they don't care.
one day i hope
i'm a wildflower,
feeling the breeze in my hair,
growing in meadows
or the cracks of a path,
when life gets hard
i'll find a way to grow.
