Female Warrior [COMPLETED]

Chapter 1

Ava: It's 8:30 am and the sun is out, shining brightly. . . well, actually since I've been underground my whole life I don't really know if the sun is out. If so, I've never felt the warm sun upon my skin. But it's fine though soon I will, I've been planning on escaping from this Penitentiary for  2 years now. I'll just need some supplies, and some help from-..." I hear a knock on my door and quickly look up. "Come in..."

Lucas: I walk in and smirk. "Hey bitch, what's good?"

Ava: I sigh with relief as it's just my gay best friend, Lucas. "Damn you almost scared me." I chuckle. "What are you doing over here? Aren't you supposed to be in class learning how to hunt an animal with just a butter knife or something?"

Lucas: "Well I could be in class learning that or...I could be with you." I smirk and poke her side. "Plus I kind of get distracted?"

Ava: "Oh really? From the guys? Is that why you're always distracted? Oh yeah, I haven't noticed." I say sarcastically.

Lucas: "Hey watch it!" I say as we both laugh. Within seconds a loud buzzer goes off indicating that it's breakfast time. "Fucking finally I'm starving." I grab Ava's hand and help her off the bed. Then I open the door for her. "Ladies first." I bow.

Ava: "Why thank you." I smile and bow back and I walk out with Lucas following behind me. After a few minutes we end up in the dining hall and we get our food which is one pancake, bacon, a small portion of scrambled eggs and apple slices.

Lucas: I whisper over to Ava. "They could've at least added some syrup or cheese even." She giggles at my comment and we both sit down at a table by ourselves.

Ava: As I sit down getting ready to eat, I look over and see a guy messing with a girl. I can tell by her facial expressions that she wants him to get off of her. I look around and see nobody doing anything about it.

Lucas: I see Ava getting worked up and I turn around and see what's happening, I then turn back to Ava. "Alright sis, calm down now. You know girls aren't allowed to fight back every one of these guards would shoot you down without hesitation." I say looking at the few guards posted around the room.

Ava: "That's why I need to try to get out of here and try to make a change. No offense but the male gender started all of this decades ago."

Lucas: I sigh and get where she's coming at.

Ava: "That's why to get out of here I need-..."

Lucas: "No."

Ava: "...-your help to get-..."

Lucas: "No. No."

Ava: "...-me into the weaponry room."

Lucas: "A thousand times no. I don't even have the keys to the room. The guys already kind of cast me out they'll be suspicious if I'm asking for the keys."

Ava: "Well then you do what you're good at...act. Act like a straight guy. Also who even has the keys?"

Lucas: "Okay one, eww I will never act like a hetero again, and secondly...Atlas has them."

Ava: I groan and start to lose all hope. Atlas is at the top of the class, he's one of the best fighters, hunters, and marksman here.

Lucas: I sigh and look over at you. "But...if you really want to make a change on the world and...end the leaders in charge of all this mess then I'll help you out a little."

Ava: I smile widely and jump up, go to the other side of the table and give Lucas a big hug. "Thank you so much!" I kiss his cheek. "But you should come with me."

Lucas: "Oh no, no, no...I should stay back to help you escape and make sure no one stands in the way. Which will be very difficult. . .but if we're careful then it should be a breeze." I smile.

Ava: "You are honestly the best." I say going back to my side of the table continuing to eat my food. "You got this, I believe in you."

Lucas: I look over at Atlas and see him being all cocky in front of his group of guy friends. "Yeah...it should be a piece of cake."
