While they laughed and caught up she looked over to the pool table where Tig and Chibs were in the middle of a game and laughed at their banter between one another. She watched as Bobby and Juice were taking bets on the winner and taunting the players. She also noticed that they had patched T.O. in. "Guess you finally changed a few rules?" she said with a smirk.
Jax looked to where she was looking and nodded. "After that shit happened with Juice, we kinda had to."
"Speaking of Juice. How are you after everything?" she asked.
Jax shrugged. "I mean, I get it. I can't blame him for it. He didn't kill Tara. Mom did. He just did what any one of them would have done."
She nodded in agreement. "This whole year has been a shit show. I'm just glad you guys could see the truth."
"Took you, to help us find that truth." he said with sincerity. "You know, sometimes I swear you should have been patched."
She laughed at her older brother and shook her head. "I'm missing a key piece of anatomy to be patched, my dear brother. It's Sons, not Daughters."
He chuckled at her and rolled his eyes, catching her gaze. He nudged her and got up from his stool. "C'mon. We've spent enough time catching up. Let's' go show those fuckers who's back in town."
She smiled wide and grabbed her drink and followed her brother through the crowd. She stopped as Jax pulled her behind him, shielding her away from his brothers is nopes of surprising them. "Listen up, you assholes." he called out.
They looked up from their game and looked at their president with confused faces. "What's up?" Bobby asked with concern, seeing Jax's face of anger.
Jax shook his head, "Someone decided to break into the club house while we're all enjoying ourselves. Caught them drinking at the bar." He said as he watched his brother's expressions twist. He grabbed Tasha from out behind him and shoved her forward. "What do you have to say for yourself?"
She tilted her head up and looked at the guys with a smirk. "I'm back," she sang as she threw her arms to the side.
"Toots!" Tig yelled as he scooped her up in a tight hug, spinning her around. "You're back!"
She giggled as he placed her back on her feet. "Hey, Tiggy." She was tossed around from member to member, all giving her hugs and kisses in welcome. She couldn't wipe the smile off her face if she tried.
Chibs pulled her into his side and raised his glass in a toast. "We finally have our Princess back. Here's to her staying longer than a few days this time.' he chuckled with an eyebrow raise towards her.
She laughed before taking a sip of her drink and noticing someone was missing. She scanned the room again and noticed the tall tattooed man sitting on a couch watching as a croweater danced in front of him. She rolled her eyes and excused herself and headed for her friend.
Happy had been her best friend since the day they met. Which was a shock to most. To most they were polar opposites but in truth, they weren't that different. Each had a fierce loyalty to the club and to the ones they loved and would do anything to keep that family whole. Anything.
She sauntered over to the killer and laughed when he didn't notice her. "Jesus, do I have to take my clothes off for you to notice me?" she laughed.
Happy's head jerked to where she was standing and a smirk creeped up onto his face. "Hey, little girl."
She shook her head as she moved closer. "Thought we were gonna drop the little part." she said as he reached for her, pulling her down onto the couch beside him.
As her legs draped over his he chuckled. "Not unless you grow another foot."
She shook her head with a smile. "Asshole." she teased and grabbed his bottle of whiskey out of his hand.
"What's up?" he asked as he watched her take a long drink of the amber liquid. At her silence he sighed. "Look, I know there's something going on. It's not like you to just pop up without a phone call."
She huffed as he took the bottle back. "I think I'm in trouble." she admitted, looking down at her hands.
Happy watched as she fidgeted, something he knew she only did when she was unsure of herself and that wasn't often. "The new job?" he asked. At her nod he sighed, pulling her to him. "Just relax tonight. Have some fun. You can explain everything tomorrow."
She nodded in agreement as she melted into his side, finally feeling the exhaustion from the day. She yawned as her eyes got heavier and before she could pass out, Happy had her up onto her feet, leading her to his dorm. "Hap, why am I in here?" she asked with a giggle. The alcohol was hitting her harder now that she was giving into the exhaustion.
He threw an old SAMCRO t shirt at her with a pair of sweats. "Put those on and get into bed." He instructed as he headed into the bathroom.
Once he was out of sight she shed her clothes and put on the pajamas and laid herself down onto the bed. It didn't take long for sleep to take her and she fell asleep feeling at ease, now that she was safe with her family.
Happy walked out of the bathroom to see Tasha already passed out and chuckled to himself. He knew his friend better than anyone. That girl's mind was all over the place and her knew that trouble was going to follow. He pulled the blanket up over her and kissed her forehead before leaving her to sleep. As he made his way back to the party he felt his heart wasn't in it anymore and grabbed his bottle and headed outside.
Jax noticed him leave the party and followed after him. He knew something was up with his sister and the only one that would know is the person heading outside. He needed to know if she was in trouble. "Hey," Jax said as he followed Happy to the picnic table. "She asleep?"
Happy nodded and took a sip from the bottle. "She passed out pretty much as soon as her head hit the pillow."
Jax nodded and looked around the lot. "She's in trouble, isn't she?"
Happy sighed and nodded. "She mentioned it before I took her to bed. She didn't go into detail, just said she thinks she's in trouble."
Jax sighed loudly and tossed his cigarette. "Let's hope it's not too much of a mess." he said as he left Happy to his thoughts and headed back inside.
