Tasha stalked out of the station and headed for the group of men that were waiting for her by the van. She huffed as she ran a hand through her hair, trying to reign in the anger that still flowed through her veins.
Jax noticed her and grabbed her arm, "What the fuck were you thinking?" he growled, jaw ticking and nostrils flared. A clear sign he was pissed.
She wrenched her arm out of his hold and scowled at him. "What I should have done in the first place. This shit is done. Forget everything I said before. It's time for us to do this the SAMCRO way." She said as she hopped into the van. "Meet me at the clubhouse."
Happy and Jax watched as she peeled out of the parking lot, heading towards the clubhouse. "She's gonna be the death of me." he muttered as he slung his leg over his bike. Juice and Happy agreeing with him and followed him out of the Sheriff's station.
An hour later, everyone was back at the clubhouse. "So are you going to explain to me what the fuck happened back there?" Jax yelled as Tasha walked towards him.
Tasha stood with her hands on her hips, a look of pure indignation on her face. He felt a shiver run down his spine. In that moment her swore he was looking at his mother. "This whole thing is a goddamn mess Jackson and it's my fault. I brought this onto the club." she sighed. "Forget everything I said, cause it don't mean shit. We need to do this the SAMCRO way, the way we should have done it the day I showed up."
Jax shook his head, a smirk creeping up onto his face. "Listen, if it weren't for you, we would have went down the day you told us about everything. The feds have their eyes on us. If we did things the SAMCRO way, we'd all either be in jail, or dead right now." he said as he wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "C'mon, I need a drink."
Jax lead her inside and sat down on a stool by the bar, Tasha making herself comfortable in the seat beside him. The prospect handing them both a beer, Jax turned his head to her, "Happy and Juice are working on a couple of things right now and then we'll go from there." he said before taking a long pull from his beer.
"What did you do with Hale?" she asked, bottle still at her lips. "He knows more than he's letting on."
Jax nodded and smirked. "That's what your old man is working on as we speak." Her sinister smirk was proof that she knew exactly what Happy was up to. "So, we gonna talk about that?" he asked with a raised brow.
She furrowed her brows and cocked her head to the side. "What you talking about?"
"You and Hap." He said rolling his eyes. "With everything going on, never had a chance to talk to you about it all."
She shrugged a shoulder and smiled a little. "He gets me." she started. "I don't have to pretend to be something I'm not. I don't have to explain the club, or what I do, and he's sexy as fuck."
"But Hap though?" he said scrunching up his nose. "I would have thought you would end up with Juice or Ope." he chuckled.
She almost choked on her beer as she chuckled. "We both know that Juice could never be able to handle me. Don't get me wrong, he's fine as hell. But he's too soft. And Ope is just all kinds of wrong." she laughed. "He was like my brother."
Jax laughed remembering when they were kids. She wasn't wrong in that description of his best friend. Sometimes he was jealous at the relationship she had with Opie. He was fiercely protective of her and she always went to him with her problems. "I get it though. He's a good fit for your crazy." he said with a chuckle and flinched when she backhanded him in the chest.
"You know I've loved him for a long time. Just never thought he would look at me the same way." she admitted.
"Please, that guy has been in love with you since the day you two met." Jax laughed.
