Tasha woke the next morning feeling like she had been in a fight and lost. Her head felt like it weighed fifty pounds and the sun was murder on her eyes. She groaned as she rolled over onto her back and ran her hands over her face. "I'm never drinking again." She said to herself as she got up from the bed. She looked around to see she was in Happy's room, which she was happy about. She walked towards the bathroom and smiled when she noticed he had brought her bag in.
She grabbed a pair of jeans and a black beater with a clean set of under garments and headed for the shower. She let the hot water run and stood under the scalding water. Letting it loosen the tense muscles in her neck and back. As she showered, she went over what she had to tell her brother and the rest of the club.
Getting out, she took a long look in the mirror, deciding if makeup was an option that morning. She shook her head as she ran a brush through her long blonde hair and threw it up in a messy bun, deciding against the makeup. She headed out of the room and towards the mainroom of the clubhouse in search of some coffee and laughed when she saw the remnants of last night's party.
She noticed the prospect walking out of the kitchen and smiled when he told her that there was a fresh pot of coffee on. "Thanks." she said with a smile as she headed for the caffeine gold.
Pouring herself a cup, she felt eyes boring holes in her back, She turned to see Happy leaning against the doorway. "What you staring at?" she said with a chuckle.
"You" he said simply as he walked towards the counter, placing a hand on her lower back and kissing the top of her head as he reached for a mug. She would be lying if she said she hadn't thought about her and Happy, but knowing that it would never work she pushed aside those feelings. "So when you gonna talk to Jax?" he asked.
She sighed and shook her head. "As soon as I'm done my coffee. I'm gonna go and head over to his place. I'm hoping having the boys around will help him reign in his anger." she admitted.
Happy nodded with a smirk. "Good plan." he said leaning against the counter crossing his feet in front of him. "So what is going on?"
"Well I already told you about the job." he nodded as she went to explain. "When I got home last night, it was trashed. The door was open, all my files were ransacked, and whoever did it, had no idea what they were looking for." she explained.
Happy nodded, his jaw ticking as he listened. "You know who did it?" he asked.
She shook her head. "Not for certain, but I have a pretty good idea of who." she said as she placed her mug on the counter, "That guy, Lowen I've been looking into. He's one shady mother fucker. I've only been looking into him for a couple of days but so far I've found some deep shit on him. Accusations of sexual assault, even murder. But no convictions."
Just as she was going to explain more, Jax made hs way into the litchen. "Why didn't you tell me?" he asked.
Tasha's breath caught in her throat as she looked at her brother. "I was going to tell you this morning after I've had some coffee." she explains. "I just didn't wanna come in here last night weighing you down with all of this."
Jax shook his head and wrapped an arm around his sister. "You need to remember that we're family. We do anything to protect each other. You were there for me and I'm always gonna be here for you. Remember that." he chided. "This club is your family, If you need us, we're there."
She nodded and hugged him tight. "I know. After you told me that you guys were going legit, I felt awful dragging you into my mess."
Jax rolled his eyes at his sister and looked over to Happy. "Call Tig and Chibs. Get them here." he instructed him. "Juice and the rest of the guys are all here passed out I think."
