jeongguk's fingers traced some of the countless tattoos on taehyung's skin and they spent the night staying up while taehyung told him the story to ever single one of them.
some of them had a reason, some were just there because taehyung thought they looked pretty.
eventually they reached his wrist where taehyung had inked jeongguk's ekg. it wasn't over the actual flatline since taehyung said you weren't able to do that, but a bit lower and jeongguk pulled the arm up and gave the image a lingering kiss.
"it could have been so easy. i could have just loved you from the start. instead i hurt you so much. i'm so sorry, taehyungie."
taehyung's eyes were wide as he looked at jeongguk and he started to tear up.
"do you mean... you love me now?" his voice was shaky and the question wasn't louder than a breath and jeongguk smiled down to him, using his other hand to brush back taehyung's hair.
"so much."
that night was the first time they kissed and taehyung felt wonderful against him, was everything jeongguk had ever wanted and he never wanted to let go of this boy again.
