-Lara's POV-
I woke up next to George, and I looked at the alarm clock. It said 10:30 A.M., so I quickly got up out of bed.
"George, we're late for work! Get up!"
I grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him vigorously.
"What? What time is it?"
"Ten-thirty!"
"Oh, crap!"
"I didn't bring an extra set of clothes!"
I started freaking out and throwing things out of the closet.
"I'm sure Izzie has something."
I went into Izzie's room while he got dressed, found something to wear, then we got in George's car and drove to work.

"Where have you been? You're like an hour late!" Dr. Shepherd asked, after I scrubbed in on one of his surgeries.
"I'm sorry, Dr. Shepherd! I was at George's-"
"Ooh..." Lukas mocked me.
"Leave, Dr. Karev."
"W-what?"
"You can't just waltz in here and scrub in on surgeries whenever you feel like it, especially without permission."
"I-I'm sorry, I just thought that-"
"You can't just assume."
After he said that, I walked away and closed the door behind me.
I went to go check on other patients, including a little girl with a brain tumor that I've been monitoring over the past week.
"Good morning, Daniela."
"Good morning, Dr. Karev."
She smiled and took a deep breath.
"How are you feeling?"
"Good."
"I'm glad to hear that. Are you ready for-"
"More tests?"
"Yeah, sorry kiddo."
I smiled and patted her head.
"It's okay. I'm used to it."
Poor kid...
I took her in to get an MRI scan, and she laid down on the table.
I heard somebody else come in, so I quickly turned around.
"I'm sorry for yelling at you today, Lara." Dr. Shepherd apologized.
"It's... whatever." I shrugged.
"I've just been really off lately." he sighed.
"Why?" I asked.
"I just found out that Meredith is pregnant."
"Oh, that's great! Congratulations to you both."
"I just... don't think either of us are ready for a child yet."
"Dr. Shepherd, a child is a wonderful blessing. You can both make time for him or her."
"I don't know. It's just... a lot to think about. I certainly can't quit my job."
"Who says you have to? It'd be more like taking a break." I explained.
"I'll have to take some time to think about all this. It's a lot to deal with at once.
But anyway, how's our Little Miss doing?"
"The chemotherapy and radiation seem to be working really well."
"That's great news. Keep up the good work, Lara."
Dr. Shepherd patted me on the shouldetr, then left the room.
