Chapter Twenty-Three

-Lara-
-Two Weeks Later-
After mine and George's vacation was over, we both went back to work and went about with our normal lives.
"Lara, welcome back!" Dr. Shepherd said.
"Thank you, Dr. Shepherd." I smiled.
"You're welcome. How was your vacation?"
"Oh, it was beautiful. And I learned a few things about myself during those two weeks." I sighed.
"What do you mean?"
"Uh, can you recommend me a therapist?"
"Yeah, talk to Dr. Albright in the psych unit. He's a great therapist." he suggested.
"Thanks."
I started to walk in the opposite direction, but Dr. Shepherd grabbed my arm.
"Are you okay, Lara?"
"I'm better than ever, Dr. Shepherd."
I went to the psych unit, and walking through here always freaks me out.
Dr. Albright's door was closed, so I knocked softly.
She opened up with a smile on her face, but she gave me a strange look when she saw me.
"Dr. Karev, what are you doing here?" she asked.
"Can I speak with you, Dr. Albright?" I asked.
"Of course, dear. Come on in."
We both went into her office, and she closed the door behind her.
"What's going on, Dr. Karev?"
"I'd just like to know how I'd go about setting up appointments with you."
"You'd like to meet with me? As your therapist?"
"Yes ma'am, that is correct."
"Okay, when would you like to start?"
"Are you available Saturdays?"
"Yes, and I also do video chat visits, if needed."
"Okay, that's great. So, next Saturday?"
"Yes, and I'll give you my card."
She grabbed a card off her desk and handed it to me.
"Thank you, I appreciate it."
I walked out of her office so I could start my shift.
George snuck up behind me and scared me.
"Don't do that!" I exclaimed.
"Sorry. Did you talk to the therapist here?"
"Yep. I'll start seeing her next Saturday."
"That's great. I'm so happy for you." he said, with a yawn.
I looked near the door and saw an (unfortunately) familiar face... what's he doing here?
