I grabbed Harry's hand.
"You're shaking Harry."
His gaze snapped to me, "What? Oh sorry... I'm just.. you know.."
"Nervous?" I finished his sentence.
He nodded and smiled weakly.
"Don't be. You've met my mother before it's nothing new." I said, in what I hoped was a soothing tone.
"I know but this is different."
"I suppose, but we're nearly at King's Cross now, it'll be over and done with before you know it."
Harry nodded, "You're sure you don't mind stopping at Grimmauld place right?"
"I'm sure Harry. Stop fretting, it'll be fine I promise." I squeezed his hand in an attempt to reassure him.
A large whistle sounded and the train came to a clattering halt, I stood up and stretched my arms above my head, Harry cast a charm on our trunks to shrink and lighten them, and put both into his rucksack.
"Ready?" I asked.
"Ready." He said.
~~
We stood in front of a large, run down house, that had just appeared right before my eyes.
I stood shocked, I mean, there was no house there, and now there's a house?
I shook myself out of my daze, and followed Harry who was already on the other side of the road.
The door was opened by an ugly house elf, whose eyes brightened at the sight of Harry.
"Master Harry, Kreacher didn't know you would be returning today." He bowed lowly.
"I know Kreacher, neither did we."
"We? Master Harry."
"Yes we. Draco is here too."
By this time I had reached Harry and peered over his shoulder at the house elf, who looked extremely shocked to see me.
Harry walked past the small house elf and into the dark house, I followed behind him, and watched as Kreacher closed the door.
The hallway was dark, a large curtain placed obscurely at the end of the it.
"It's not the happiest place in the world." Harry said, looking around the place with a slight expression of distaste.
"My house wasn't the happiest either." I said quietly, taking in the rest of the hallway.
"Let's go upstairs, I just need to get a few things then we can go." Harry said, and I began to walk up the large flight of stairs.
I followed him, trying not to pay much attention to the house elf heads on the wall.
Harry stopped infront of a large wooden door and pushed it open. This room was much different. The walls were a crisp white, and sun shone through a large window.
"Now this is more like it!" I exclaimed.
Harry laughed and began pulling open drawers and pulling clothes out of them.
"Why didn't you just bring your stuff to Hogwarts?" I questioned.
He shrugged, "I dunno, it was just easier to pack lighter clothes then bring winter stuff when I need them."
"I suppose."
I sat down on the large bed, taking in the many photos that lined the wall beside his bed, ranging from old pictures of his parents, to newer pictures of him and Ron.
I noticed a flash of blonde hair, and was surprised to see a picture of me on the wall, my head was thrown back in laughter, and I was moving my hands in front of my face, shaking my head at Harry.
"When did you put this up?" I asked.
"A few weeks ago, Mc Gonogall let me come back, I told her I needed to get clothes."
I laughed and stood up again, moving to stand beside Harry.
He stuffed the extra clothes into his rucksack and zipped it up.
"Ready?" He asked.
"If you are." I said.
He smiled and I raised my hand to scratch my head.
Harry reached out and grabbed my hand.
"Harry?"
"What are these?" I looked down to see what he was talking about, and my eyes landed on the small red burns on my wrist.
"Oh I dripped candle wax on my arm when I was sealing a letter to mother. You know me, clumsy as can be." I lied through my teeth, hoping he believed me.
His face relaxed and he let my arm go, and I felt myself slump in relief.
"Be careful. You'll end up hurting yourself worse." He said grinning.
I let out a chuckle, "Yeah.."
I need to be more careful. A lot more careful.
