Harry's POV:
The wind nipped at my fingers and I hurried down to Hagrid's hut.The letter from him had arrived early this morning, and I immediately felt bad for my lack of communication with him this year.
Harry,
I know times tough for you, but would you want to come down and see me later.
Fang misses you too.
From hagrid. The familiar scrawly handwriting made my heart ache as I remembered all the memories from times with Hagrid.
I pulled my scarf tighter around my neck, and quickened my steps to a jog, as the ageing hut came into sight, smoke billowing from the chimney.
I clambered up the stone steps and knocked hastily on the door, bouncing on the balls of my feet, anxious to get out of the cold.
The door swung open moments later, and light spilled out into the darkening outdoors, heat washing over me in a wave.
" 'Arry! Ye made it! Come in, come in." Hagrid grinned and gave moved aside, letting me step into his home.
"Hey Hagrid." I couldn't help but smile back at the huge man who stood towering over me.
"Want some tea?" He questioned, and I nodded.
I took a seat by the fire, still shivering slightly.
"I'm sorry Hagrid." I said, keeping my eyes trained on the fire.
"What fer?" Hagrid said, moments before a loud clatter filled the room as a saucepan crashed to the floor, inches from my head.
Fang barked loudly and shuffled over to me, resting his head on my knee as I ran my fingers over his coarse fur.
"For not coming to see you enough."
"Oh don't be silly! You've had enough on yer plate don't worry 'bout me." He smiled and clumsily set a huge mug of tea down infront of me, the water splashing onto the table.
"Thanks Hagrid."
He sat down opposite me, and took a large gulp from his own mug, his small eyes scanning my face.
"How are ye keepin?" He asked suddenly, causing me to tense up slightly.
I swallowed thickly and my voice was strained, "I.. yeah I'm fine thanks."
"Are ye sure 'arry? You don't look alright to me, a bit peaky round the edges."
I laughed weakly and nodded.
"He'll be okay you know." He said quietly.
"I hope so." I mumbled, and took a sip of my tea, looking over Hagrid's shoulder at the sky that was now twinkling with stars.
A cold night.
Too cold.
A/N- sorry it's short xx
