Cupid That Breaks The Rules

Chapter 38

Bella's P.O.V.

"Bryce did you find her soul mate yet?" I asked, right after we left school I texted my dad saying I was going to hang out with Bryce and we went to his house to teleport to the cupid head quarters.

"The computer is searching keep in mind 7.7 billion people live on Earth so it has to calculate everyone." He said. 

"7.7 billion! What no way!!" I said amazed.

"Yeah... ooohhh I found him! His name is Steven Bleu." He said. "Oh but there's a problem, he lives in Paris, France, and he is in titled to get his dads business in Paris once he turns 21. There is no way he will decline the job to move here." He continued.

"Who said he moves here? I have a plan but I need to know if his company ever comes to California." I said. Bryce looked at the computer and nodded.

"We get him to think he needs to come here on a business trip, that trip is to come to our school and talk about his family business. I will talk to the school asking if its okay if this business man comes and gives a speech in classes. I will make sure he makes his speech in out last class because I know she will be in that class. That is how they meet." I said. 

"Good plan but one problem. Steven doesn't own the business yet so his dad will have to tell him and it's against cupid policy to get into someone else's mind to help someone else." Bryce said. 

"You are the boss can't you change the policy?" I asked.

"Yeah, but then it might get out of control. Love as much as I know that is a great idea but I can't get into his dad's mind, is there any other way to bring him here?" He asked.

I started to think. "Maybe if I talk to my dad and the school we can try to get them to send an email to Steven's dad saying how they will appreciate it if his son would like to come to our school to give a speech on how a business runs and what to expect when you take over a business?" I asked.

"Maybe.." Bryce got interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Come in." Bryce said.

"Sorry to disturb you boss but I found the riddle." a guy said.

"You did?" Bryce said.

"Yeah I looked everywhere in the library and I finally found it." A guy said. 

I am now confused. "What riddle?" I asked.

Bryce stiffened up and started to scratch his back of his head. "Uh there was a riddle on how to turn a human girl/guy into a cupid." He said.

"Oh maybe we can solve it together." I said. He looked surprised.

"You aren't mad?" He asked.

"No I love you and want to be with you and I do not want to grow old and you stay looking like this." I said honestly.

Bryce pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead. "I love you Bella" He said.

"I love you too, anyways where's this riddle?" I looked over to the guy.

"It's right here." the guy said.

I reached for it and he handed it to me.

"oh my..." I said looking down.

"what?" Bryce said.

"Bryce you have to kill me first..." I said.

"No let me see the riddle." Bryce said so I handed it to him.

"For a human to become one of you,
you must be one.
She must be bitten on the neck by you,
and she must be willing to die and loose her soul,
to gain the power of love.
If she is the one for you,
She will love you after the change.
But if you kill her and she isn't your true love,
she will loose her soul and die." He read it aloud.

"No I can't kill you Bella that would kill me!" He said.

"Am I your true love?" I asked 

"Yes of course you are!" He said.

"And I love you you are my true love. So it must work." I said.

"But what if its wrong, what if this riddle is fake and someone wrote it for the fun of it? I can't risk it!" He said.

"Well lets think it over and discuss with the group and see what they say." I said.

"Sir, Ma'am may I go?" The guy said.

"Oh yes you can thank you for finding it Jeremy" Bryce said.

"You are welcome" Jeremy said.

"So back to Steven," Bryce said. 

"What if you make him think he has to come here for vacation and went to the coffee shop and you made Chloe think to go to that same coffee shop on the same day?" I said. 

"Brilliant!" Bryce said and started typing on the computer. 

I yawned it's getting late and I still have homework to do.

"Love want me to take you back home?" Bryce said.

"Yes please I am tired and I still have homework to do." I said.

Bryce nodded and he took me back home.

I am sorry for the wait I have been very busy and I had writers block for a little i had to re read my book and figure out how to continue this and still keep it interesting. But after re reading my book I found a lot of problems with it not major but stuff that i am gonna have to fix.
