You and Me

Let's pretend to go on an adventure,

We'll have a picnic in the meadow

with wildflowers all around us.

Let's pretend to climb a mountain,

we'll leave a flag on the summit

that says "You and Me" waving in the wind.

Let's pretend to lay on a cloud and watch the sunset.

The vibrant yellows, oranges, and pinks;

they remind me of what I see when I kiss you.

Let's pretend to build a campfire

and roast rainbow marshmallows

and eat some colorful, delicious smores.

Stop pretending-come back to reality.

Let's make a tent in my room

out of my blankets and chairs.

Let's go out in the rainstorm

without our umbrellas we'll get all wet,

its alright.

Kiss me-it's just you and me now.
