Prom Night

The party begins

when the set sets.

Get your flasks hidden

in your pockets and purses.

Getting drunk

before the party starts

Maybe somebody will

spike the punch.

Going out to dinner

in your nice dresses

and your nice suits.

Looking fine,

feeling nice.

Going to get some tonight?

Smoking outside the school

in your limousines.

Girls whining about

how they want to dance.

Getting hot on the floor,

some lame band playing.

Chaperones glaring and shaking their heads

What happened to this generation?

You'll party until midnight

or until you pass out.

Friends will get you upstairs

before the chaperones smell the liquor.

Dancing in your poofy dress

All the guys want to get it off.

All your friends are doing it,

but are you ready to give it all

away to some random boy

who doesn't give a damn about you?

It's prom night:
