visions

eyes wide salt

you can cry with your eyes closed.

this is why i'm afraid of

going to sleep at night

and it's the reason for

my insomnia, it's the

knowledge that i could

have a dream so bad

that i'd wake up with

a scream or have a

dream so good that i'd

never even wake up,

because you and i

both know i'd end up

crying with my eyes

closed and somehow

subconsciously drown

in my own tears.
