Chapter 9- Little Marie
We went back downstairs to find Seth seated on the last steps. "Seth?" I asked
He looked up and stood when he saw us. "I thought you killed her already mom" he said playfully while hugging her mother. They let each other go and Grace exited the room.
"Your mom is wonderful" I said while grinning
"Yes, she is. What did you talk about?" He asked while taking my hand and led us outside.
"That is a secret Mr. Morgan" I smiled and let the sun warm my body as we stepped outside.
"You're not going to tell me?" He pouted his lips and I giggled, now seeing Seth pout is cute.
"Nope" I laughed once again because he gave me the puppy dog eyes.
"Seth! Why don't you introduce your woman instead of hogging her!" I heard someone shout from behind and Seth gave him a thumbs up.
He looked down at me and asked "Ready to meet my family?"
"Yes" I felt cold all of a sudden, I just hope I don't embarrass myself.
I was introduced as Seth's friend to his family, so far I met, three uncles, four aunties, three little boys, five little girls, two teenage cousins who are girls and three bachelors that are related to Seth in some way.
I greeted and smiled at all of them and I already felt like a part of their family. I played with the little ones, I gave advice to the teenagers and I just laugh at the bachelors who tried to flirt with me.
I was now seated on one of the wooden benches attached to a table when Seth motioned for me to come over. I stood up and went towards the grill.
"Dad, I want you to meet Ysabel Crest, my friend" he introduced a man who looked like Seth but older and instead of dark hair, he has gray.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Morgan" I greeted as we shook hands
He let out a bellowed laugh "please, call me Ben, Ms. Crest"
"Please, call me Ysabel" I said with a smile "so, what are we having?" I asked
"Steaks, burgers, and hotdogs" Ben answered. "I hope you brought with you your appetite because you ain't getting off that table without your belly full"
I laughed at him. "I always bring my appetite with me Ben"
"Good, are you a salad kind of girl or the meat kind" he grinned while waiting for me to answer
"I prefer meat, I don't really like salad" I scrunched my nose at the thought of salad
"I like you already" he laughed at my answer, he laughs a lot. "Son, why don't you marry this one?" He patted Seth's back
"Dad, Ysabel is more of a friend" he told his father, did I just get friend zoned?
"But I like her, I don't like those skinny bitches you're with on the tabloids" his father half whined, half joked.
"Dad, I'll come back with a future wife, I promise"
"You better" he muttered and went back to grilling.
Seth took a swig at his beer and asked me to go with him. We walked towards a lake and I couldn't help but love it.
"Seth, you okay?" I asked
"Yeah, it's just, they're expecting me to get married and have lots of children and I don't think I'm going to find someone who would handle me when I'm at work"
